Happy Halloween from our body guard!

1,886 days. That’s how long Sonia has been waiting for someone worth protecting.

Professional bodyguard. Expert snuggler. Fiercely loyal companion.

Her qualifications? She loves her people with her whole heart, takes her job of protecting them very seriously, and has absolutely no interest in entertaining strangers.

Sonia believes trust is earned, not given. If she knows you, she LOVES you. If she doesn’t? Well, let’s just say she’s going to need to see some references first.

But underneath that tough bodyguard exterior is one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. Sonia is a certified lap dog who would happily spend her days curled up against her favorite person, soaking up every ounce of love she can get.

Over the last couple of months, Sonia has made incredible progress here at Noah Project. We’ve watched her grow more comfortable and show us even more of the amazing dog we’ve always known she is.

Unfortunately, Sonia is often overlooked because she doesn’t make the best first impression. Something in her past taught her that people aren’t always safe, and she’s carried that fear with her ever since.

But 1,886 days in a shelter should not be the rest of her story.

Sonia needs someone who understands that trust takes time. She would do best as the only pet in a quiet home without much foot traffic. No cats, no dogs, and no revolving door of strangers. Just Sonia and her person. That’s her dream.

We love this girl with our whole hearts, and we know whoever earns her trust will have one of the most loyal companions imaginable.

Every good bodyguard deserves someone to protect. And every good dog deserves a home.

Forget picking pumpkins, because we think we’ve already found the cutest one in the patch!

Meet Milo, our 4-year-old pumpkin who’s patiently waiting for someone to pick HIM! And while he may look sweet in his costume, this boy has a whole lot of personality underneath!

Milo isn’t the type of pumpkin who wants to sit on your porch looking pretty. He wants adventure! Whether he’s showing off his frisbee skills, going for car rides, or splashing around at the beach (he’ll even wade in up to his shoulders!), Milo is always ready for fun!

He also knows sit, roll over, and lay down. Although, since arriving at the shelter, he’s decided sit and jump are the only two worth demonstrating. Apparently, the rest cost extra treats!

Speaking of treats, this pumpkin LOVES his snacks. He’s even been known to counter surf when food is involved. And if a shoe mysteriously disappears, don’t panic! Milo enjoys carrying shoes around but is polite enough not to chew them.

Milo is housebroken, kennel trained, and does great with baths, brushing, and vet visits. Basically, he’s a well-mannered pumpkin with a few mischievous seeds mixed in!

Of course, every pumpkin has its quirks!

Milo walks well on leash but may pull when he spots another dog. He’s lived with dogs before but has shown food-related aggression toward another dog, so proper introductions and separate feeding are important.

And while most pumpkins stay where you put them, Milo has other ideas! This clever boy figured out how to jump his previous family’s fence, so keeping him safely contained is a must.

Milo also needs a home without small children.

At the end of the day, Milo just wants someone who will look past his quirks and see the wonderful dog underneath. Someone who will toss his frisbee, take him on adventures, and love him exactly as he is.

Because every pumpkin deserves to be picked, and we think it’s about time someone picked Milo!

Rocky, a 6-year-old Lab/Pit mix who decided that if Woody from Toy Story can be everyone’s favorite cowboy, then he can too. And quite frankly, we think he’s got the personality for it.

Now, Woody might have a snake in his boot, but Rocky? He’s got approximately 47 tennis balls to chase, a whole lot of love to give, and absolutely ZERO plans to slow down anytime soon.

At 6 years old, Rocky is technically supposed to be a mature gentleman. Unfortunately, nobody told him that. This boy wakes up every morning like Andy just walked into the room and yelled, “PLAYTIME!” He’s goofy, energetic, ridiculously affectionate, and so happy to be alive that we’re pretty sure his tail has never stopped wagging.

And just like any good cowboy, Rocky LOVES a good game of fetch. Seriously, throw the ball. He’ll bring it back. Throw it again. He’ll bring it back again. Congratulations, you’re now employed as Rocky’s personal ball launcher, and there are no scheduled breaks.

But don’t let his wild west energy fool you! This sheriff has some pretty good manners under his belt. He knows sit and lay, is housebroken, and can be trusted to roam the house while you’re at work without turning your living room into the Wild West. He’s not kennel trained, but he’s used to having free roam of the house.

Rocky has lived with kids and another dog before and has done well with cats, too! Although, much like an overexcited cowboy riding into town, he sometimes forgets his own strength and can play a little rough. Kids and furry siblings who can handle his enthusiasm would be ideal.

A fenced-in yard would be a HUGE bonus because this cowboy has some serious zoomies to get out.

But here’s the thing about Rocky. Underneath all that energy, goofiness, and enthusiasm is a dog who just wants to be somebody’s best friend.

He doesn’t need a fancy ranch, a horse named Bullseye, or a whole collection of toys that come to life when nobody’s looking. He just needs someone who will love him, play with him, laugh at his ridiculous antics, and give him the kind of forever home every good cowboy deserves.

Because at the end of the day, you’ve got a friend in Rocky. And unlike Woody, you won’t have to pull a string to hear how happy he is to see you.

Meet Josie, a 16-week-old Chihuahua/Beagle mix who is equal parts adorable, sweet, and full of puppy energy!

Don’t let her tiny size fool you, because this little girl has enough energy to keep you on your toes! Josie is a busy little bee who loves to play, explore, and make the most of every minute. And when she finally runs out of steam, she has a whole lot of sweetness to give!

As cute as she is, Josie is still very much a puppy, which means she has plenty of learning and growing to do. She’ll need a family who understands that puppies require patience, consistency, and lots of attention. Because of her age and energy level, Josie will need a home where someone is around more often than not to help with training, potty breaks, and keeping her entertained. She’s not quite ready for the 9-to-5 lifestyle!

Josie may be little, but she’s got a big personality and an even bigger future ahead of her. She’s looking for someone who is ready to embrace all the chaos, cuddles, and cuteness that come with raising a puppy.

If you’re ready for a tiny best friend who will keep life interesting, Josie might just be your girl!

Calling Local Businesses & Vehicle Wrap Professionals!

Noah Project is looking to partner with a local business to help us give our rescue van a new look!

Our van plays an important role in our mission, helping us transport animals to veterinary appointments, adoption events, and wherever else they're needed. We'd love to turn it into a moving representation of the lives we're working to save!

We are currently accepting bids from businesses interested in designing and installing a custom vehicle wrap for our van.

We're also open to discussing sponsorship opportunities with businesses willing to offer discounted services in exchange for having their company logo featured on the finished wrap.

SOMEONE GET ME THE HECK OUT OF HERE.

You know how you humans just get to sit down for a nice meal? Food right in front of you? On a plate? No questions asked? No obstacles? No physical labor required?

WELL, MUST BE NICE.

They hide my food and expect me to SNIFF IT OUT. Like some kind of wild animal.

Do I look like a wolf to you? Sure, my ancestors had to hunt for their food. But ME? Rocco? In the year 2026? Absolutely not.

They call it “enrichment.” I call it a violation of my basic rights.

I’m not asking for much. Just three meals a day, unlimited snacks, and a little respect.

Please adopt me before they make me file my own taxes next.
