Update: running a tad late! Turkey just came out of the oven! It’s getting cut up….stay tuned…….
Santa Claus never forgets the Cats and Dogs at Noah Project at Christmas. Gifts were handed out and thanks to the kindness of Kari the manager and the generosity of Walmart on Henry St, we were able to expend the menu of the Annual Christmas Day Dinner! Mashele and Jane are preparing the food and should be doing a LIVE feed from the shelter around 4:00 today. Thank you to you Kari and to Walmart, for making this Christmas a little more special for all of us and for the pets at Noah Project!

Does everyone remember the former use of this building? It is so worth going inside it just to see it now! Season's Greetings and let's fill the baskets with items needed for the pets at the shelter. Zara is a 4-year-old sweetheart who is full of love, softness, and goofy charm. She adores her people and kids with her whole heart and is looking for a home that can give her the comfort, routine, and cuddles she thrives on.

Zara is a snuggler through and through, her favorite place is curled up in bed with her humans, soaking up every bit of affection. She’s also great with kids, and overall is a gentle, loving companion who just wants to be part of the family.

She enjoys walks and will get excited enough to pull a little on leash, but she corrects easily. In the car, she can be a little nervous at first, but with reassurance settles in. Zara LOVES toys, especially soft ones, and she doesn’t destroy them or eat stuffing. Long-lasting chews are her absolute favorite.

Around the house, Zara is a well-mannered girl who free-roamed when left alone and did great. She did sometimes come back inside and p*e after going out, so she may need a refresher on routine and consistency in a new environment. A fenced yard is recommended for her.

Baths? Nail trims? Groomer visits? She’s a rockstar. She stands nicely, takes it all in stride, and enjoys the pampering. She knows sit and paw (especially if treats are involved!) and loves any chance to show off her manners.

If you’re looking for a dog who will cuddle you, walk with you, follow you from room to room, and love you with every inch of her heart, Zara is waiting for you. She’s ready for her next chapter, one filled with stability, love, and a family she can finally call her forever.

We are not sure how she does with cats, but she doesn't seem to mind other dogs.

When "running to the store to pick something up" please consider Orchard Market in Spring Lake or Orchard Market in Fruitport. Easy in / Easy Out, with friendly hometown service. Your shopping dollars supports them and they support us at Noah Project! While you are there, you could grab a package of dog treats or cat treats and drop them in the collection box at the base of the Christmas tree. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

If a picture is worth 1000 words, than what more do we have to say about Ollie?

But just in case….

Ollie is a 1-year-old Boxer with all the classic puppy charm and a heart full of love. This handsome guy is energetic, people-oriented, and always ready to make you laugh with his goofy antics. He’s treat-motivated, toy-obsessed, and will happily chase a ball for as long as you’re willing to throw it. When it comes to plush toys, this boy believes all stuffing must immediately be freed.

Ollie is already potty trained and knows several commands, including sit and lay down, especially when hand signals are used. He’s very smart and eager to learn, making training fun and rewarding.

Ollie is great with adults and older kids, he truly loves everyone, but his enthusiastic jumping means he’d do best in a home with older children only. He’s good with other dogs and has never been around cats. Loud or unfamiliar noises can scare him, but with reassurance, he bounces back quickly. He loves water, loves baths, and is even good for nail trims.

This boy would thrive with an active family who has time for him during the day. He has some typical puppy behaviors like counter surfing, digging, and jumping, but with structure and activity, he’ll blossom into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. A secure fenced yard is a must, Ollie can jump really high, and he loves to run and play safely outdoors.

Ollie has car anxiety, so he’ll need a patient owner to help him build confidence on rides. But take him to the beach or anywhere with water, and you’ll see his happiest self, this boy loves splashing around!

If you’re looking for a silly, sweet, energetic companion who will adore you endlessly, Ollie is ready to leap (literally) into your life.
