Meet Flower 🌼—She’ll bloom in your home! This doodle girl is soft, sweet, and will be ready to go home soon as soon as she is spayed:)! Her adoption fee will be $300 and she is 6 months old, 42 pounds. We were told she is good with dogs, cats, and children from her previous home.

Flower is a happy, wiggly, people-loving doodle who wants to be planted right next to wherever you are. She can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly with a few treats. Flower will follow you from room to room like your sweetest little shadow—your personal, fluffy, four-legged sunshine ☀️. She is proof that the best things grow with love and belly rubs.

We are deeply honored to share that ARF was awarded two gold medals and one silver medal in the recent Muncie’s Quest for the Best contest. Knowing that our community voted for ARF means the world to us, and we are profoundly grateful for your continuous trust, love and support.

While we celebrate this honor, our hearts remain heavy as so many of our neighbors recover from the recent storms and flooding. Our communities strength and resilience inspire us every day- not just in caring for animals in need, but in supporting one another through tough times.

Thank you for standing by us, and please know that we stand with all of you as our community rebuilds.

Zeus the Doberman is doing great. He has his two week checkup today. He has been enjoying a lot of one on one attention from staff, and he even got to go to one of their houses for an evening for an outing! He met some other dogs and kitties and for the most part did ok with all of them. Mostly he just wanted to snuggle on the couch!

Zeus has a nice family who are visiting him frequently, and once cleared by the vet to be introduced to all the other dogs at ARF, we will be letting him interact more and see if he enjoys his doggy friends or would prefer to be an only dog.

For now, our priority is getting Zeus healthy again. We know it won’t happen overnight, but he’s slowly starting to gain weight (it’s important that when a dog arrives in this state that you actually feed very small meals four times throughout the day, and slowly increase the amount rather then just giving him a lot of food all day long as we may want to do).

We also hope that he can soon be transitioned to a senior dog food, because right now he’s still on a low fat easy to digest dog food.

We will update everyone on Zeus’s progress as the weeks go by- but just know he is very loved and enjoying life.

We have a brave new puppy to introduce you to- in fact he’s so brave, he’s been dubbed Brave Little Toaster (like the movie, for anyone not catching the reference!)

He arrived yesterday afternoon- he has urine scalding down his rear legs, and for an approximately 7 week old puppy, is already in a malnourished state.

At 7 weeks he should be with his mama and littermates still, learning to play, and rolling around with a fat little belly. Instead he was on the side of the road, spine, ribs, and hip bones all visible.

We Parvo tested him to make sure he wasn’t in need of Parvo treatment, but that test was negative and when given a small amount of food he was ravenous.

He’s been started on intestinal dewormer as we await the results of his f***l, an he’s being fed four times a day to help make sure he’s getting proper nourishment throughout the day in smaller, more frequent meals.

Toaster will be looking for a foster home once cleared by our vet. If you’re a foster with ARF and have room for a puppy, please message us! Stay tuned as we update over the next few weeks on Toaster’s journey to find his forever home.

Molly and Moose Tracks have a wonderful new family to call their own!! They have an older kitty sister waiting at home who loves kittens!! Her human sister plays BSU softball and also has volunteered at ARF. When her parents came to visit they fell in love with these beautiful girls and felt they were the purrrfect addition to their home! Thank you so much for adopting!!!
