🐾 Meet Sage 🐾

Sage’s story began when she and her sister Sky were found surviving on their own, walking miles together in search of safety. Today, Sage is thriving in foster care and showing Gloria, Ken and Hope what a wonderful companion she can be.

This sweet girl is dog-friendly, kid-friendly, kennel-content, and full of love. She has a playful side, but her favorite thing is being close to her people. Her foster family says she’s known for her adorable “nose bumps”—gently nudging you for attention and affection. ❤️

And now for her cat test…

We finally got Sage’s cat test video, and honestly, the poor thing was so calm she almost looked terrified of the cats! 😄 Rather than chasing or bothering them, Sage seemed much more interested in politely keeping her distance.

🐾 FROM EUTHANASIA LIST TO LIVING HIS BEST LIFE — JOSE’S HAPPY ENDING 🐾

A few months ago, Jose’s future looked uncertain.

This sweet Heeler mix found himself on the euthanasia list simply because the shelter was overcrowded. Through no fault of his own, he was running out of time.

Then something incredible happened.

Liza, Kristen’s friend from Michigan, stepped up and drove all the way to Texas to help give Jose a second chance. And waiting for him at the end of that journey was Kristen — the family who saw what we saw in Jose all along.

Today, Jose is exactly where he belongs. ❤️

His adopter recently shared:

“He is a great boy! Still figuring out the cats, but otherwise he is doing just great. I don’t know how anyone could have him and give him up.”

“He is an amazing dog.”“Thank you for helping me save him!”

Jose now spends his days relaxing in the sunshine, sharing his yard with his canine sibling, and claiming laps as his favorite place to be. 🥰

Stories like Jose’s remind us why we never stop fighting for dogs in need. One rescue, one transport, one adopter, one second chance at a time.

One of the best parts of being a NETRO volunteer is taking our rescue dogs on adventures and watching them experience life beyond the kennel. ❤️

Suzan recently took Xena out for a day of fun, and that smile says it all! Seeing her happy, relaxed, and enjoying every moment is truly priceless.

On the last two transports up North, Let Love Live helped find loving homes for Thelma, Henna, and Minnie.
