Buster, Camille, Doris, Levi, Mindy, and Raven had a weekend filled with playtime, attention, belly rubs, and lots of love from our amazing NETRO volunteers! 🐶☀️

And because every rescue pup deserves a little pampering, Gloria Hendrickson Woolsey and Ken treated everyone to a SPA DAY! 🛁🫧 Fresh, clean, happy pups… ready to impress their future families! ❤️

🇺🇸🐾 THE INDEPENDENCE PUPPIES — AND THEN THERE WERE THREE! 🐾🇺🇸

Seven little puppies. One unforgettable rescue. ❤️

The Independence Puppies were found abandoned in a dangerous area, where our volunteers had to crawl in and carry them out one by one. Their beginning may have been uncertain, but that day their lives changed forever.

One by one, these little Americans have been finding their way forward… and now only THREE are still waiting for their forever families! 🥹❤️

🌙🐾 MOON’S BIG DAY OUT! 🧀🚗

Lovely Miss Moon enjoyed a very important NETRO outing today: lunch at Sonic! 🥰

She shared a grilled cheese with our wonderful volunteer Shari, followed by what was supposed to be a nice, relaxing walk in the park. 😂

Park pictures? Nope. 📸❌
Moon had places to go and things to sniff! She was pulling Shari along so fast that apparently next time a harness will be part of the lunch-date dress code. 😳🤣

And speaking of Shari… the folks at Sonic now recognize her as the “Sunflower Dog Lady” 🌻🐶 because she’s stopped by several times with different NETRO dogs for their special afternoon adventures and lunch dates. 🤭❤️

We think that’s a pretty great nickname to have!

Moon got her grilled cheese, her walk, and her adventure. Now she just needs the best part of all… a forever family to take her on a lifetime of adventures. 🏡❤️

🐾 MEET LORETTA — AKA “LOLO” ❤️

On August 13, Loretta’s life almost ended simply because there wasn’t enough space.

She was on the euthanasia list when NETRO stepped in at the last minute and pulled her, along with several other dogs. That day, LoLo didn’t know it yet, but she had just been given something priceless:

TIME. ❤️

And she’s already showing us exactly what she plans to do with it.

Loretta is a spunky little lowrider who prances around like she owns the place. 😂🐾 She may still be a little timid around new people and dogs, but underneath that hesitation is a personality just waiting to burst through.

NETRO volunteer Chris has already seen an incredible difference in her in only ONE WEEK. Recently, LoLo decided she really wanted to play—she gave the cutest little play bow, thought about it…and then got a little shy again. 🥹

But she’s getting there.

Every day she feels a little safer.
Every day she trusts a little more.
Every day we see more of LoLo. ❤️

And can we talk about those adorable black-spotted ears and those beautiful, sparkly dark-brown eyes? 😍

We have a feeling this little girl is going to be quite the character once she realizes she’s finally safe.

On August 13, Loretta needed someone to say, “Not today. Your story isn’t over.”

Now she needs someone to say:

“Come home, LoLo.” 🏡❤️

⭐ Meet Star — one of our precious Independence Puppies! ⭐

Star’s story began when she and her six siblings — Dandy, Glory, Liberty, Patriot, Sparkle, and Yankee — were abandoned and hiding in a dangerous area. NETRO volunteers crawled into difficult places, carried these babies to safety, and gave them the second chance they deserved.

Now look at our beautiful Star! 💛 Her friendly personality is ready to steal someone’s heart. From abandoned puppy to a life filled with hope — all she needs now is her forever family. 🐾❤️

❤️ THE POWER OF LOVE — MERCY’S TRANSFORMATION ❤️

Look closely. This is the same dog.

On July 16, Mercy was almost completely hairless. Her little body was thin, her skin was raw and irritated, and her eyes told a story of fear and neglect.

But NETRO knows something powerful:

Love can change a life. ❤️

Mercy was given a safe place to rest. Gentle hands cared for her. She received her “love baths” week after week from NETRO volunteers Gloria and Ken. She learned that people could be kind. She learned that she was safe.

And slowly, Mercy began to change.

Her skin healed.
Her beautiful coat grew back.
Her body grew stronger.
But perhaps the most beautiful transformation happened in her eyes.

Fear became trust. Trust became joy. 🥹❤️

Now look at Mercy on August 23 — healthy, beautiful, smiling, and absolutely full of life.

This is why we do what we do.

Because sometimes rescue isn’t just saving a dog from a bad situation. It’s showing them, day after day, what love feels like until they finally believe they deserve it.

And now there is one final chapter waiting to be written.

🏡 Mercy is ready for her forever loving home.

So we have a question:

Do you want a dog… or do you want a story of resilience, healing, and love to become part of your family?

🐾 LIBERTY IS READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME! ❤️

Liberty is one of our seven Independence Puppies who were found abandoned in a dangerous area with her siblings. Our volunteers literally crawled in to reach them and carried each puppy out to safety. Now, those scary beginnings are behind her. ❤️

And just look at this girl now! 😍

Liberty is growing into a beautiful, happy, curious puppy with plenty of personality. She’s playful, adventurous, and clearly knows how to work the camera — those eyes and that smile say it all! 😂❤️

She’s had the opportunity to experience life outside the rescue environment and is learning more about the world every day. Now what she really needs is a family of her own to continue the adventure.

From an abandoned puppy who needed rescuing to this confident, joyful little girl… Liberty is ready for her next chapter. 🐾

🐾 A WONDERFUL UPDATE ON CINDERELLY! ❤️

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, $1,143 has been raised for Cinderelly’s care! We are so grateful to everyone who donated, shared her story, and helped give her a second chance. ❤️

And even better news: Cinderelly is now in foster care through Lifesavers: Skylyr’s Passion Rescue in Longview, Texas! 🏡🐾 She is safe, loved, and able to continue healing while receiving the care she needs.

NETRO will cover her current veterinary expenses, and any remaining donations will follow Cinderelly to her rescue to help with her continued care and recovery.

❤️ We will be closing Cinderelly’s fundraising campaign TONIGHT.
