Spring-cleaning tips for a happy and healthy dog!

1. Groom: Brushing keeps your dogs coat clean and helps condition the skin. Bathing keeps your dog smelling fresh and looking good. Keep nails trimmed on a regular basis. Be sure you are regularly brushing your dog’s teeth.
2. Physical: Check out your dog from head to tail. Look for anything unusual. Do you have flea and tick control? Current on vaccinations? Review your dog’s records and have a yearly checkup.
3. Toy Box: Discard any toys that are too worn or frayed. Wash those that may need cleaned.
4. Dog’s Equipment: Disinfect all grooming supplies. Wash your dogs collar, leash, food and water dish.
5. Dog’s Favorite Places: This is a great time to wash those dog beds, blankets, and crate pads. Hot water and a dryer work to kill any unwanted germs that may have found its way into your dog’s bed.
