Most people see a cute group photo.

I see dogs making good choices.

One of the biggest misconceptions about socialization is that dogs need to constantly play or interact with other dogs. In reality, one of the most important social skills a dog can learn is how to be calm, comfortable, and focused around other dogs without feeling the need to engage all the time.

The dogs in this photo are practicing patience, impulse control, and appropriate social behavior. These are the same skills that help dogs succeed in everyday life—whether that's walking through a park, relaxing at a brewery, visiting the vet, or welcoming guests into the home.

Archie packed a lot into one daycare day! 🐾

From enrichment activities and sniffing games to cooling off in the pool and spending time with friends, Archie made the most of every minute.

One thing we love about Archie is how enthusiastic he is about trying new things.

Whether it's exploring enrichment setups, running through the agility tunnel, or hanging out with his daycare buddies, he's always ready for the next adventure.

Safe play, mental stimulation, confidence-building, and plenty of fun—that's what daycare days are all about. 💙

Enrichment shouldn't be reserved for special occasions.

It should be part of daycare. 🐾

One thing we love about enrichment is that it reminds us that no two dogs are exactly alike.

Some dogs enjoy licking.
Some prefer foraging.
Some love solving a challenge.
Others just want something simple and relaxing.

That's why you'll often see different enrichment setups for different dogs around here. The goal isn't to make every activity look the same, it's to help each dog feel fulfilled in a way that works for them.

Because enrichment isn't about keeping dogs occupied.

It's about meeting their individual needs.

The blackberries are finally ripe, which means the dogs have entered their favorite season... quality control season. 😂

After weeks of "helping" me check the bushes, they finally got to enjoy some fresh blackberries in their enrichment.

One of my favorite things about enrichment is that it doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's as simple as using safe, dog-friendly foods you already have and turning mealtime into a fun activity.

Safe to say the blackberry taste testers approved. 🖤🐾

I planted these berries.

Enrichment time for the crew 🫐🐾

Enrichment doesn't have to be complicated! Today's edible activity included a lick mat topped with dog-safe foods to encourage sniffing, licking, and problem solving while making mealtime more fun.

Mental enrichment is one of my favorite ways to help dogs use their brains, build confidence, and add variety to their day.

The hardest part is getting past the quality control department while I'm making it. 😂
