Most doodle owners doesnt really know how to care for the type of hair these dogs have!
This is a new client and when they called for an appointment and asked how much i told them a price but also asked if the dog was matted. Answer was not i dont believe so just has a lot of hair. I could see where they brushed the dog and the top coat looked ok and this is why sometimes they think it isnt matted!
As soon as i was handed the dog i said sge is a mess andd i can tell you she’s matted, i moved around some hair and said see this? Long story shorter people with these dogs usually want a cute cut and not skinned! I said the price i gave you is going to be more and im going to have to cut her down, the response was ok as long as you dont scap her 😂 i said im sorry but i am going to have to do that. Then they said no i mean dont make her bleed😝 i said i wont!
Anyways shaved the dog and she was fine with it and said she looked good and we are going to keep her on a schedule now.
So doodle owners please go on YouTube and watch videos on how to brush your dogs so you will understand the job that it is to keep your dogs mat free! 
We are not miracle workers and your dogs don’t get matted over night. These dogs need to be brushed everyday and make sure you are getting to the skin!
And YES POODLES AND DOODLES SHED!!!!
That’s one reason they tend to mat so easy they shed and it gets stuck under that top coat.

Tig the Aussie loves me lol. He sits at me or under my legs 🙂 that’s a protective thing for these kinds of dogs. Usually they are very funny and one person dogs but he took right up with me. I may have to claim him 😂😂😂😂 jk his owners are great.
