Circle J Farm

Circle J Farm Circle J Farm Horse & Music Park Circle J Farm has been in the Jordan family for many generations. In 2000, Jon decided to bring music to Circle J.

The original “Horsemans Hideaway”, built in the 1960's, consisted of an arena where Rodeos were held, a campground in the woods and a clubhouse where all could gather after a long days ride. He built a ten stall barn with a stage on the front of it out in the middle of a former cow field. It wasn’t long before he had old friends Marshall Tucker “playin’ in the pasture”. 38 Special followed soon af

ter in 2003. We have been thankful to be involved with the local chapter of Independent Bikers who have chosen to have their Annual Poker Run to benefit the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association here at the farm since 2005. Working close with this group over the years has brought us in touch with old friends, new friends and our community in such a positive way. We still have Rodeos in the arena, (not by choice, we just shouldn't be riding young horses anymore!) We hang out in the Horsemans Hideaway, (and sing really bad Karaoke!) and we camp in the campground (not nearly as much as we would like to!)

We look forward to many more years of making new friends, promoting great original music and sharing our farm and festivities with others.

Directly from the SC State Veterinarian's office today:

The State Veterinarian’s office received laboratory confirmation of two new equine cases of EEE on 7/26/16. One of these cases is in Greenville County and is the first confirmed case in the Upstate in 2016. This confirmation comes after the first confirmed case in the Midlands in Kershaw County the week of 7/15/16, providing solid evidence that the risk to SC horses from EEE at this time is not confined to our coastal counties but is indeed statewide. The Greenville county case was a 10-year-old QH. The second new case was a 5-year-old QH in Horry County. This is the 4th confirmed case in Horry County in 2016. Neither of these horses had been vaccinated according to label instructions and neither survived. The total number of confirmed cases in SC in 2016 is now 11.

2016 EEE County Summary as of 7/27/16:

4 EEE Horry
2 EEE Colleton
1 EEE Marion
1 EEE Dorchester
1 EEE Kershaw
1 EEE Berkeley
1 EEE Greenville

If you don't vaccinate for any mosquito-borne diseases, it's a small price to pay to keep your horse alive.
