Congratulations Diesel, you’re officially HOME! 💙🏡

We are beyond thrilled to share that Diesel has been adopted by his amazing foster family! After standing by his side through surgery, rehab, and every small victory, they’ve made it official and Diesel is exactly where he belongs.

This sweet boy has been through so much, and we couldn’t be happier knowing he’s with a family who’s already proven their love and commitment to him time and time again.

Here he is, all happy and cozy in his Wrapped in Love blanket, soaking up the comfort of knowing he’s truly home.

🎉 Blue has found his furever home! 💙🐾

We are so excited to share that Blue, our sweet 4-year-old Weimy, has been adopted! This velcro baby is soaking up all the love and attention from his amazing new family, and he couldn’t be happier.

Blue now gets to enjoy lots of car rides, runs, and walks with his Mom and Dad, who absolutely adore him. Here he is, all cozy in his Wrapped in Love blanket, knowing he’s finally home.

🚨 Diesel still needs us! 🚨

We’ve posted about Diesel before, but his fight isn’t over. This sweet boy endured a YEAR of pain with a screw damaging his joint, and while surgery was a big step forward, his road to recovery is long and costly. We are doing everything we can to save his leg, but the worst-case scenario is amputation.

💙 The good news? Diesel is already showing signs of progress - stretching his leg for the first time in a year and even starting to bear weight! But he needs continued care, rehab, and support to keep moving forward.

🙏 We are begging for your help. Diesel deserves this chance. Every donation, no matter the size, brings him closer to healing. Please give if you can, share his story, and help us fight for this brave boy!

Can you Help Diesel!?! ❤️ Diesel is a young male Weimaraner who just turned four; he came into rescue at the end of December of 2024. He was an owner surrender & we knew he would need another surgery for us to help him. He had TPLO surgery in January of 2024 and had not been putting weight on his right hind leg since then…one year! Something needed to be done. We got him into the Colorado Canine Orthopedic Center in Colorado Springs. He needed arthroscopic surgery to go in and see what was going on. His knee was a mess, there was a screw in the joint and an infection tract. They removed the old hardware from his first surgery & cleaned up the area. Diesel has been put on 3 different antibiotics 💊 and has had a reaction to the first two. He seems to be stable on the 3rd one. Hoping to get him into PT rehab soon. He has an appt for a rehab consult this week for work with an underwater 💦 treadmill. We could use some monetary help for him as this first round of x-rays, surgery & medication cost us $3500. Because of the year long muscle atrophy he will need rehab and possible supplements to continue his healing journey. Estimates for moving forward could add up to an additional $1500 or more.

He has the most wonderful caregivers who took him in to help him through all of his upcoming Physical Therapy and to get him back to a full and happy life. They are on board for whatever he needs!

Linda Hoover with Rescued Hearts Unique Boutique, a supporter of , is also a Tellington TTouch therapist who recently met Diesel and worked with him. Here is what she had to say:

I am SO glad that Diesel ended up with Grey Ghost!!! I don’t believe any other rescue would’ve truly understood his needs, much less addressed anything other than surgery to remove the screw and tidy things up inside. They would’ve done that basic thing and felt that was sufficient. I thank God that you have the wisdom and experience to know that in order for him to have the best life possible he needs ongoing physical therapy and emotional healing. I don’t think you could’ve found a better home for him because their level of dedication is exactly what it’s gonna take to see him through this, and get him to the point of having the best life he possibly can. I think the future is bright for him.

Introducing Adam, our resilient 5½-year-old Weimaraner who has found his forever home! 🐾

Adam spent his early years as a backyard dog, initially purchased as a puppy to be a breeding dog. He lived his whole life until now outside sleeping in a dog house. Despite this, he has shown incredible adaptability and a love of nature.

We discovered that Adam thrives with canine companions, feeling most comfortable with other dogs around. He was used to another dog in the backyard with him and didn’t like the idea of being an “only dog.” Now, he’s joined a wonderful family with two fellow Weims and an Italian Greyhound, complete with a doggie door for his new indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

Adam’s journey from isolation to a loving home exemplifies the resilience and loving spirit of rescue dogs. His sweet disposition and eagerness to please have truly touched our hearts.

🎉 Adoption Alert! 🎉 Sweet Bowie, our resilient 5-month-old girl, has found her forever family! 🏡❤️

She was initially malnourished when she was picked up from the breeder and struggled for a while to get well. She spent some time at CSU Vet Hospital and another ER, but has now been adopted by her foster family who love her so much and have helped her to get well. She is now thriving and has 2 kids to snuggle with and two other dogs in the family to play with. We’re overjoyed to see her happy and healthy!
