The Piatt County Trail Blazers are all about fun with family, friends, horses and their annual rodeo. The facility boasts a beautiful permanent arena complete with bucking and timed event chutes, grandstands & announcers stand. Currently the complex is undergoing a $30,000.00 lighting upgrade to better serve the needs of contestants and spectators. The facility also has a huge clubhouse building t
hat hosts everything from event concessions to meetings, weddings and various parties as well as a huge Sunday morning breakfast, open to the public, from November thru February. The Trail Blazers always encourage kids to get involved with riding of all types and rodeo. The club donates the ground to both IL Jr Rodeos and IL High School rodeos to help support those associations, their kids & families. You'll always find Trail Blazer families (many of whom are 3rd & 4th generation members), including the kids, helping with shows and volunteering for arena and grounds duties. It is a tradition that will continue into the next generations of Trail Blazer families.
2016 will mark the 62nd Annual Piatt County Trail Blazers Rodeo.This extremely popular event continues to draw both contestants and spectators from throughout the US, Canada and Australia & the rodeo is still growing. Plans in 2016 call for a new marketing look and some fun additions to the program for kids of all ages. The Piatt County Trail Blazers are the perfect blend of tradition and modern conveniences for everyone who visits the grounds. It is truly a great spot for both riders and their horses.
