We are Hiring! 📣
Our program is growing & we are in need of an Assistant Trainer.

This is a part time position in the afternoons 2-7pm and Saturdays (optional half day or full day)

Responsibilities would include; Teaching lessons from beginners to 3’ hunters. Being in charge of general horse care such as attending to any special needs (wrapping, wound care ect) and helping keep lessons running smoothly, occasionally attending bigger shows and assisting with training rides.
(This is not a laborer position no mucking required.)

Applicants should be 18 years or older with clean backround history, reliable transportation, references, and must enjoy being in a kid friendly, busy lesson barn.

About us

We are Sam & Bethany Zylstra, or Hollow Hill a family run horse farm on the outskirts of Montgomery. We bought this farm in 2016 after it was abandoned for several years. Sam’s Grandfather August Jellema built the barn and had horses on the property a couple decades ago. We are happy to have it back in the family again and it has always been my dream to have a horse farm of my own after working in the business for 10+ years. Having two kids of my own i feel so blessed to be able to do what i love and keep them close. If you ever visit you will have the opportunity of meeting them as they often are helping me with barn chores or grooming my daughters pony “Dewey”. Right now we are currently offering full service boarding, beginner lessons, & summer camp. Im sure our list of services will be expanding in the future. If you have any questions or are interested in anything please never hesitate to give us a call or stop by to see the farm.
