This sweet Frenchie was found wandering in the Calhoun area today, and we are looking for the owner! We know someone is missing this little one, so let's get this baby back home where they belong. If this is your dog, please send a direct message to claim them. To ensure they go to the right family, proof of ownership (such as vet records, past photos, or unshared details) will be strictly required. 🐾 A Beautiful Moment of Sisterhood 🐾

At a recent offsite event, our sweet Queen (the beautiful merle pup) found herself feeling a little nervous and overwhelmed by all the new sights and sounds. In a gorgeous display of canine empathy, her friend Rebel instantly stepped right up, gently resting her head on Queen to comfort and protect her until she felt completely safe again. It was such a touching moment that truly shows how deeply dogs feel, nurture, and care for one another!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that the wonderful Rebel has officially been adopted and will be off to her forever home soon! Now it's Queen’s turn. 🐾 Look Who Stopped By! Applejax & His Mom 🐶❤️

Look who came back to visit us today! Our hearts are absolutely full after seeing Applejax and his amazing mom. Adopted back in early 2025, it is so wonderful to see firsthand how incredibly well he is doing. He has been such a good boy for his new family, and they let us know he is officially spoiled rotten—exactly the way it should be! Seeing him so happy and thriving in the arms of his owner makes everything we do at the shelter completely worth it.

We honestly live for these kinds of updates from our adoptive families! There is truly nothing better than seeing a dog we cared for living their absolute best life with a family who adores them. This handsome guy is incredibly treat-driven, making him eager to learn when guided by a firm, loving hand that helps channel his boundless enthusiasm. If there is a splashing water hose or a thick rope involved, Sam is in his absolute element. He is our resident undisputed champion of tug-o-war; in fact, he is so dedicated to the sport that if we secure a heavy-duty rope to the fence, he will happily entertain himself with solo tug tournaments for hours.

Ready to bring this athletic water-bug home? Sam is neutered, up-to-date on his preventatives, and will be microchipped at the time of adoption. He is currently heartworm positive, but the team here at the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe is ready to walk you through exactly how manageable his treatment path is. Alea had an absolute blast getting some fresh air with Puddin and Punkin today! These two sweeties are all smiles when they get to stretch their legs, sniff the breeze, and explore. 🐾🌳

🎉💖 BIG LOVE FOR A BIG BOY: GOLIATH IS ADOPTED! 💖🎉

It is officially a Happy Tail for this magnificent house hippo! 🦛✨

Goliath has found his furever home, and we are pretty sure this glorious, chonky boy actually weighs more than his momma! 😂 Don't let his mammoth size fool you, though—under all that muscle is an absolute gentle giant with a heart of pure gold. 💛🐾

Seeing this big meatball head off brings so much joy to all of us here at the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe. We are beyond thrilled that he found the perfect lap to (attempt to) sit on! 🛋️🐶
