The society was formed in the spring of 1989 and is approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is registered with the state of Louisiana as a non-profit corporation organized for charitable and educational purposes.

Good Afternoon River Cities-ziens!!

We are very happy to announce that over the past two days, we've had 10 adoptions at RCHSC!

You can help to keep the pawsitive momentum going by adopting a cat from us or recommending to family and friends who are thinking about adding a furry feline to their family to visit us.

Location: 5302 DeSiard St. (right across from Catahoula’s).

Hours: Noon to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

Adoption fees: $80 per cat (this helps cover the cost of spay/neuter, vaccines, FIV/FeLV testing, food, and medical care).
