Welcome to behind the scenes! These kittens were in desperate need of TLC. They were dewormed, bathed, flea prevention applied, and began their ringworm treatment.

Now it’s time for some socialization, spay and neuters, and adoption!

We’re having our monthly adoption event at Animal House this Saturday! Come and meet our fur babies! Even if cats aren’t your thing, Animal House still has plenty of other critters to meet❤️

It’s that time again! 🐾 On the third Saturday of every month, River Cities Humane Society for Cats brings some precious babies who are ready for adoption.

Thanks to our amazing community, every single cat found a forever home last month—and we’re hoping for the exact same love this weekend! Come by, meet these sweet furballs, and maybe find your new best friend! 🐱✨

Hey everyone! We wanted to quickly address something following our post earlier today featuring a very cute new kitten.

Although we noted in the caption and comments that he was not yet available for adoption, we received quite a few calls about him. Most were incredibly kind and understanding, but unfortunately, some of our staff were met with angry and inappropriate behavior. We ultimately deleted the post to protect our staff from any further negativity today.

We understand that kittens in our shelter can be adopted very quickly, but we will never sacrifice our standards or quality of care simply to make an animal available sooner. Every cat becomes available when they are healthy, appropriately vetted, and ready for a home.

We love sharing these moments with you, but negative or disrespectful behavior toward our staff will not be tolerated. Please remember that there is a human being on the other side of the phone. Our staff works incredibly hard and deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

If you’re interested in adopting, please check our website. If a cat is listed, they’re available. If they aren’t listed, they aren’t ready just yet.

There's nothing like a little face lift to make an old shelter feel young again!
