Great debate with Kevin Murdaugh
who "is not a dog trainer" but he "interacts with dogs on a social level." We agreed to disagree but we still agreed on core truths such as dominance exists, power dynamics and social dynamics exist, and social hierarchy exists. We explained and illustrated our points and answered: what is dominance?
What does it mean to be dominant? Check out the video here:

Is your dog comfortable with you? What happens when you pet them? Do they get overly excited? Is your dog comfortable with your touch and handling? Do they willfully accept your guidance and affection? Or do they resist it? In this video I work on building a positive association with the dog and also use touch to communicate and set boundaries. I help the dog to self regulate.

How comfortable is your dog with being touched? In this real dog tr...

Dogs don’t speak our language, and we don’t speak dog either. There’s a language barrier! So why not meet in the middle?

In this video, I show how I build a shared language using tone, body language, praise, boundaries, repetition, and positive association — without relying on treats as the foundation for communication.

Build the language first. Then use it to guide the dog.

Control or communication?

I think a lot of what people call “dominance” is actually dogs communicating.

Most people see control. I see a conversation.

I made this video in response to another Dog Trainer troll online that made a video criticizing one of my other videos about using affection in dog training. In my opinion, never giving your dog balanced affection or rewards is sh*tty training. In this video I demonstrate what real dog training looks like. It doesn’t need to be mechanical or formal and one-on-one all the time or obedience based. Socialization is a large part of the training also could just why I incorporate that into my board and train programs. dogs. Need to learn how to behave around other dogs, and how to follow a leader in group dog settings.

Ever wondered what real dog training actually is?In this video I break it down from the ground up. A lot of people think socialization “doesn’t count” as tra...

Morning pack routine ✨
After their potty break I called the whole pack in… and got every single dog to sit together at the same time — all completely off-leash — before we headed back to the barn.
This is what consistent structure, clear communication, and leadership look like every day. Leashes are excellent tools, but when the dogs understand the routine and respect the expectations, off-leash structure becomes the standard.
Real-world pack training in action.
What’s one thing you want better structure with in your dog? Drop it in the comments 👇

Pack Walk Training: Building Flow & Positive Association 🐾

This isn’t about perfect heel or zero pulling.

It’s about flow, structure, and group dynamics.

On this pack walk, we’re observing how each dog moves within the group—how they follow, adapt, and respond to direction changes.

Mergy is a great example.
Off-leash, he naturally joins in and reads the group. That tells us a lot about his mindset and what he needs moving forward.

We allow freedom on the leash, but not pulling or lunging.
The goal is movement together, not micromanagement.

Pack walks help:
• Build social awareness
• Create positive associations
• Improve leash behavior naturally
• Develop better decision-making

Training isn’t just commands—it’s how the dog moves, thinks, and connects within the environment.

Dad’s gone… now he looks timid. 👀🐾

Same dog. Same house. Different behavior.

This is why I don’t rush interaction or force engagement. I respect the dog’s comfort zone first and observe what’s actually driving the behavior.

What looks like “protection” can often be insecurity influenced by context and social dynamics.

When the environment changes, the truth shows.

Before obedience, you need clarity.
Before correction, you need understanding.
