🐾 The goal was never just a dog that listens.

🚶‍♀️ It's being able to take a walk and actually enjoy it.

☕️ It's bringing your dog along when you meet friends instead of leaving them at home.

🏡 It's opening the front door when guests arrive without worrying about jumping, barking, or chaos.

❤️ Training isn't about creating a perfect dog. It's about creating a relationship that gives you more freedom, more confidence, and more opportunities to enjoy life together.

✨ Because life is better when your dog can be part of it.

Your dog “downs” like a champ in the living room—but can they do it at the park with squirrels running by? 🐿️😅

Proofing your dog’s obedience commands means practicing in new, distracting environments. It’s how you turn a “homework star” into a real-world rockstar. 🌎✨

🦴 Start simple: Practice “down-stay” on your front porch.
🚶‍♂️ Add challenges: Try a busy sidewalk or during a walk in the park.
🐕‍🦺 Reward and repeat: Keep sessions short, positive, and full of praise!

📸 Share your pup’s best out-and-about command moment and tag us—we’d love to see them in action! 💪🐶

Just because your dog loves you doesn’t mean they’ll listen off leash. If you can’t call your dog and have them immediately turn and come running—no hesitation, no second guessing—then your dog isn’t ready to be off leash.

It’s not about obedience. It’s about safety.

Wildlife, cars, distractions, fear responses… there are too many variables to “hope for the best.” Off-leash freedom is earned through trust, proved recall, and consistency.

🎯 Want that kind of trust with your dog? That kind of freedom? We can help you get there.

🐾 Train smart. Train safe. Train for real life.

💎🐾 DIAMOND IN THE RUFF: ADDIE 🐾💎

Everyone welcome Addie to the Crown Jewel K9 family!

This beautiful rescue girl is smart... and then there’s Addie-smart. 😅 She has spent the last year becoming an expert at reading her humans and manipulating her environment to get exactly what she wants. If there’s a loophole, Addie will find it. If there’s a negotiation to be had, she’s already three steps ahead!

The good news? That brilliant mind is exactly what makes her such a fun dog to work with. Addie LOVES having a job, solving problems, and learning new things. She thrives when her brain is engaged and she’s given clear expectations.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be helping Addie build reliable obedience, learn boundaries and manners, and discover that following guidance can be just as rewarding as making her own rules.

But our favorite moment happened on day one. ❤️

After spending more than a year with her family, Addie had never wagged her tail. Not once. Yet during her very first training session, that tail started moving. By the end of the lesson, she was wagging happily and engaging with the world around her in a way her family had never seen before.

Training isn’t just about commands. Sometimes it’s about confidence, communication, and helping a dog discover the joy that’s been hiding underneath all along.

We can’t wait to watch this special girl shine. ✨

Want to teach your furry friend to "drop it" or "out" ? Tug-of-war is a fun and effective way to train your pup! Here’s how to turn playtime into a training session:

1. Choose the Right Toy: Pick a sturdy tug toy.

2. Start the Game: Begin tugging, letting your dog get invested in the game.

3. Introduce the Command: After a few moments of tugging, stop tugging, making the toy “go dead”, say “Drop it!” or “Out!” in a cheerful tone. Hold the toy still and wait.

4. Reward the Action: The moment your pup releases the toy, praise them immediately and offer the toy again, restarting the game! If they don’t let go right away, just wait. It can take awhile the first few times. But when they realize that the faster they let go, the faster the fun will start again, the more reliable and faster the release will become.

5. Repeat: Keep practicing! The more you play, the more your dog will associate the command with the action.

6. End on a High Note: Always finish your training session with a victory cheer and some cuddles. This creates positive associations! 💜

✨ Remember, patience and consistency are key! Enjoy the bonding time while teaching your pup this valuable command.
