Before you can fight cancer, you have to find it. We recommend cancer screening for at-risk dogs:
➡️ all dogs aged 7 years or older
➡️ dogs of high-risk breeds aged 4 or older.

Going into the weekend please be aware MedVet will NOT be open during the daytime on Saturday per their post. We do have 2 additional emergency clinics a little over an hour away - VERS in Pensacola 850-477-3914 OR Gulf Coast Vet Emergency in Biloxi 228-471-0475.

MedVet Mobile’s ER will be temporarily closed on Saturday, May 9, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Our inpatient nursing team will continue caring for current patients throughout the day; however, we will not be able to accept new ER cases during closure hours.

The ER will re-open at 6:00 pm and resume normal hours. If your pet needs immediate assistance during this time, please visit the nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

We can’t let the month get away with out saying how thankful we are that 3 years ago we moved to our beautiful new location! We appreciate and love each of our clients - Blessed to be going on year 16 in the Fall 2026 and have this wonderful facility.

So we have had lots of clients ask about the property next door and what stores are gonna be there. Well the cat is out of the bag - it’s our neighbor from our old location- Reney's Honey Butter !!
We are sooo excited to have them next door to us again !!

Our clients are truly the best but we had an issue today from a prospective client that we feel needs to be addressed:

While we recognize that concern for a pet can bring strong emotions, verbal abuse and hostile behavior toward our staff will NOT be tolerated AT ALL.

Our veterinary team cares deeply about animals and works within scheduling, medical, and staffing limits to provide safe and ethical care. Appointment availability does not reflect a lack of concern — it reflects our commitment to giving each patient the time and attention they deserve.

Disrespectful or aggressive behavior does not help pets and puts unnecessary strain on the people trying to help them.

We are committed to compassionate care and a respectful, safe environment for our team.
