Battlefield K9 Battlefield K9 established 2006. Specializing in importing and breeding of import bloodline Cane Corsos.

We are a family owned and operated kennel specializing in import bloodline dogs. Derek and Stephanie established Battlefield K9 in 2006 and have produced litters of Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, and Dutch Shepherds. Derek is a 29 year law enforcement officer, spending 18 years working dual purpose K9. He successfully removed substances that were harmful to the community, utilized K9s to trac

k and locate murderers, rapists and arsonists. He has been deemed an expert in a Circuit Court of Virginia twice. During his time as a K9 handler, he had the opportunity to work with many different breeds. He has trained a multitude of breeds, from the Belgian Malinois to the German Shorthaired Pointer. Beyond those amazing breeds, we have recently expanded to working and breeding Italian Mastiffs, the Cane Corso. This impressive breed is proven to be the ultimate family protector as well as a loyal family member. My wife, Stephanie, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1993 and her Master’s Degree from Virginia Tech in 1995. Stephanie grew up on a cattle farm and has taught Agriscience at the local Middle School for 18 years. Our children Faith, Logan and Dylan are a crucial part of our puppy program. Not only do they help maintain the facility and take care of the dogs, they assist in training and development of each and every puppy.
