Important Announcement:
With the unfortunate news of West Oaks Animal Hospital closing in June. We want to extend a warm welcome to new patients. However, please be aware that our schedule is already at capacity, and while we will do our best to accommodate as many as possible, availability may be limited due to the ongoing shortage of veterinarians.
To ensure a smooth transition, we strongly recommend having your pet's medical records emailed to your personal email. When you need an appointment, we will request the records be forwarded to us at that time.
We kindly ask for your patience, as our phone lines are experiencing high call volumes. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing care for your pets.
Thank you,
Pinkerton Animal Hospital

🐾 Happy Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week!

This week, we’d like to recognize and sincerely thank our wonderful reception team at Pinkerton Animal Hospital—Jenn, Krista, Layni, Tiffany, and Kaylee.

You are often the first voice our clients hear and the first smile they see when they walk through our doors. Whether you’re scheduling appointments, helping keep our days on track, or offering a kind word to a worried pet owner, you do it all with patience and care.

Your work may happen behind the scenes at times, but it plays such an important role in everything we do. We truly appreciate your dedication, compassion, and the steady support you provide to both our team and our clients every day.

If you see them this week, we hope you’ll join us in saying thank you 💐🐶🐱

🌸 Lily Warning for Cat Owners 🌸

Lilies are beautiful, but they are extremely toxic to cats. Even small exposure—such as licking pollen off their fur or drinking water from a vase—can lead to serious kidney damage.

⚠️ Toxic varieties include Easter, Tiger, Daylilies, and Asiatic lilies.

Signs of exposure may include:
• Vomiting
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Changes in urination

If your cat may have been exposed to lilies, seek veterinary care immediately. Early treatment is critical.

For the safety of your cats, we recommend keeping lilies out of the home. 💚

Today, we share both bittersweet news and heartfelt gratitude from all of us at Pinkerton Animal Hospital.

After many years of compassionate care, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our patients and their families, Dr. Schoenberg will be retiring. Her last day with us will be April 1st.

Dr. Schoenberg has touched countless lives — both two-legged and four-legged 🐾 — and her kindness, expertise, and gentle spirit have made a lasting impact on our community. She will be deeply missed.

We invite clients and friends who would like to share a memory, note of appreciation, or well wishes to drop off letters at the hospital before April 1st. We will be collecting them to present to her as a special retirement keepsake.

Please join us in celebrating an incredible career and wishing her all the happiness this next chapter brings!

💌 We’re creating a special retirement keepsake for her!
