To our valued clients and community,

We wanted to provide an important update regarding our clinic. Our relief veterinarian’s last day with us will be July 9th. At this time, we do not have another veterinarian available to step into the position.

As a result, we will unfortunately be closing our doors to the public beginning July 9th until we get a new veterinarian.

This is not a decision we ever hoped to face, and we understand the impact this may have on our clients and patients. We are incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and trust our community has shown us throughout the years.

We will continue to provide updates as we know more. Thank you again for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

There are truly not enough words to express how thankful and grateful we are for Dr. Huston and everything she has done for this clinic, our community, and the countless animals whose lives she has touched. She has poured so much love, compassion, and dedication into helping those who needed it most.

Her impact on the shelter and city pound animals has been nothing short of incredible. She gave countless animals a second chance and helped create more than just a clinic — she built a place where animals, clients, and staff felt truly cared for and supported. The heart and effort she poured into this community will leave a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.

While it is incredibly hard to see her go, we are so excited for her as she enters this beautiful new chapter of life and prepares to welcome her baby. She deserves every bit of happiness and joy ahead.

Dr. Huston, thank you for everything you have done for all of us. Thank you for the lives you’ve changed, the animals you’ve saved, and the example you’ve set every single day. You will be deeply missed and forever appreciated. ❤️

Good morning wonderful clients,

Please be advised that today will be Dr. Huston’s last day at Severson Ahart Community Clinic.

For any medication needs, please ensure that all requests are submitted by 2:00 PM this afternoon.

To our wonderful clients,

We would like to send a gentle reminder that Dr. Huston will be departing from our clinic very shortly. Please send any prescription refills requests through an online pharmacy ASAP as she will not be available to approve prescriptions after she departs.

In addition, we recommend our current clients to please call or email the clinic to request your pets medical records and radiographs if you have not already done so. At this time, we recommend that our clients establish care at the surrounding clinics while Souris Valley Animal Shelter actively works to recruit a new veterinarian. There are no new updates currently as far as securing a new veterinarian, however any updates will be posted promptly on our page.
