My wife "Sierra" and I met our senior year in high school. We lived in Florida most of our lives until packing up to start our own adventure. We left Florida towards the end of 2010 and made our way to Rhinelander Wisconsin. We tried living the small town life, but Rhinelander was a little too small. We received a phone call from Sierra's sister and her husband that there was money to be made in M
inot North Dakota. We decided to give it a try and left Wisconsin January 2012 and have not left. Since then we had our first daughter in the beginning of 2014 and bought our first house November 2014 where we are still today. Two years later we welcomed our second daughter. Through out Sierra's life she has had a variety of pets. Sierra has cared for cats, dogs, birds, snakes, lizards, horses and at one point a little monkey. She grew up in a family of pet sanctuaries, groomers and vet techs. I on the other hand have cared for multiple dogs and cats and two turtles. Fortunately for us due to where we live and friends that we have made, our list is improving as we learn more about horses, cows, chickens and goats. Our plan is to start Prairie Wind Pet Lodge to give the 47,000 people of Minot and the many more people in the surrounding areas a safe and exciting place to bring their fuzzy children. We will be accommodating dogs, cats, birds, small reptiles and small pets that live in cages like ferrets and hamsters. As of now there are only two facilities that board pets in Minot and both are north of the city. Prairie Wind Will be located Southeast of Minot to help serve the other areas of Minot as well as Logan, Velva, Surrey, Sawyer and any other town that wants to make the trip so that the owners can take their own trip and know that their pet will be safe and cared for.
