Last week, Groundwork Milwaukee's Damien DeBuhr joined Groundwork affiliate Executive Directors from across the country in Elizabeth, NJ and Yonkers, NY. Leaders shared inspiration, best practices, and joy as they worked to strengthen the Groundwork Network and our collective impact. Special shout out to the hosts at Groundwork Elizabeth and bonus hosts Groundwork Hudson Valley.

Pick N Save closes this Friday July 18th and we won’t let it happen quietly.

Join us Friday morning, July 18th between 9:30AM -10AM at Metcalfe Park Community Bridges (3624 W North Ave) for a march, rally, and press conference.

We’re demanding better: access to fresh food, medicine, and resources.

Then from 2-5PM, pull up to our Mutual Aid Afterparty: BBQ, diapers, hygiene supplies, and more.

🥦Are you looking for a space to grow your own veggies, flowers, herbs, and more? Rent a bed (or two) at Kilbourn Community Garden!

🍓Started in April 2009, Kilbourn Community Garden has grown to over 140 raised garden beds, each tended to by an individual, family or organization in the Milwaukee community. Most of the beds are four by eight feet - which can supply enough produce for 1-2 adults!

This aerial view of the Metcalfe Park Black Joy Farm says it all—our farm is the heart of our community. It’s where we gather, grow, connect, and build what we need to nurture and sustain one another.

Join us, Tuesday April 22 or Wednesday, April 23 as we keep building this space with love. We’ll be adding a greenhouse, garden beds, fruit trees, and more—plus cleaning and beautifying the neighborhood we call home.
