These little cuties are taking their own sweet time joining the world. The first six have been moved to the brooder from Feathered Fortress Coops. Of the remaining nine, two have zipped, 3 have pipped, and I got a confirmation peep from one of the final four. So here’s to one more day of distraction. 🥰🐣🐥

I loaded up the incubator for the last (?!?) time this year. The center six are from frozencreekfarm The dark browns in the outer ring are from my BCM’s, and the rest are from layer flock. I’m looking forward to seeing these babies on August 13th, but even more excited to see the egg colors they are producing early next year!

The rest of the world has “Megan Thee Stallion”. I have “Brittany The Chicken” This lovely, dedicated Icelandic hen has been diligently sitting on these beautiful eggs from Brittany The Human of frozencreekfarm in Brevard, and they are due to hatch tomorrow! Here’s hoping that gorgeous speckled green comes out a pullet!
