Did you know dogs can get their own “flu”? 🐶🤧. Canine influenza virus (CIV) – often called dog flu – is a highly contagious respiratory disease that spreads quickly anywhere dogs gather. Some dogs get very sick and may develop pneumonia. The good news: vaccines are available to help protect your dog from dog flu. Initially, they get 2 doses, 2-4 weeks apart and then we include it annually with their regular vaccines!
