Are your pets protected?

The New World Screwworm has been making it's way further north! This parasite was eliminated from North America more than 20 years ago, but is now moving north again.

The FDA has released a statement that keeping dogs and cats on "isoxazoline" medications will help prevent this dangerous parasite from infecting your pet.

Isoxazoline is a class of drug found in many currently used products for flea prevention. We carry several of these products in clinic and also in our online pharmacy.

Clinical signs of feline chronic kidney disease (CKD) can be subtle or absent in the earliest stages of the condition. However, as CKD progresses, cat owners may notice various changes like:

• Weight loss
• Lethargy
• Appetite changes
• Vomiting
• Weakness
• Increased thirst and urination
• Decreased or difficulty with defecation
• Mouth odor
