Goldendoodles are such smart dogs, and it’s amazing what they can learn with a little patience and consistent training. Just look at Maverick! 🐾

With a Golden Retriever and Poodle family tree, Maverick comes by those hunting roots honestly. His mom and dad are avid hunters, and it looks like they’ve found their perfect hunting buddy. Three hours in the blind that morning and more after lunch, and not a peep out of him!

And where did he find the best seat in the blind? Right on somebody’s lap, of course! 🤎

Guardian Home Wanted for This Beautiful Chocolate Girl! 🤎 She is ready to go home now and is expected to be around 40 pounds! She is ready to go home this week.

You will receive her at no purchase cost, but becoming a guardian home is a serious commitment with ongoing care expenses and responsibilities. Please read the requirements below.

She will need her last set of shots. She is sleeping through the night in her crate from 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and she is working on potty training and doing great! She can be shy, so continued socialization this fall will be important to help her grow into a confident, well-rounded dog.

📍 Location & Availability

We are looking for a family along the Hull Street corridor, ideally in Magnolia Green, Harpers Mill, Collington, Woodlake, Brandermill, FoxCreek, or a nearby neighborhood, but we will consider other locations.

🐾 The Ideal Home

Our ideal guardian enjoys spending time outdoors and bringing their dog along to dog-friendly breweries, hikes, and social outings. We’re looking for someone who will give her plenty of companionship, exercise, and opportunities to explore, while enjoying taking quality pictures of her adventures. Sharing her on social media would be a bonus! 📸

💕 Socialization Matters

Socialization is key to making this partnership work! She needs to feel comfortable not only with your family, but also with people outside your household, new surroundings, and everyday experiences. Because she can be shy, she will need regular, positive opportunities to meet people and explore the world this fall and beyond.

When it’s time to whelp and raise her puppies, she will stay here with us at RVA Doodles. Helping her grow into a confident, well-rounded dog, along with opportunities to become familiar with us and our home, can help reduce anxiety and make that transition easier for her.

📋 Guardian Home Requirements

• Pet health insurance is required throughout the entire guardian contract, for as long as she is in our program. Trupanion Pet Insurance is preferred.
• A fenced-in yard is required.
• You must plan to remain in the immediate area for the next five years.
• She must live as a beloved indoor family companion.
• Grooming is required every 6 to 8 weeks to keep her coat healthy and well maintained.
• You are responsible for routine veterinary care, including her last set of puppy shots, annual wellness exams, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, and other routine health needs.
• She must receive regular exercise, training, love, and socialization.
• Monthly updates on how she is doing and frequent, quality photos are required.
• You must be dependable, communicate well, be available for weekday appointment coordination, and follow the terms of the guardian agreement.

Our guardian dogs are cherished members of both their families and our breeding program. We’re looking for someone who values that partnership and will love and care for this sweet girl for life. ❤️

Hello, everyone! 🤎🐾

This sweet chocolate goldendoodle girl will soon be ready to join a guardian family, but first, she needs a name! We’d love your help choosing one that’s just as sweet as she is.

Farm life looks good on Dusty! 🐾🚜💛

Dusty, formerly Dune, is living his best life with his family on a farm in Windsor, Virginia, just outside of Smithfield! With plenty of room to explore and a family to love, this sweet boy has found his little piece of paradise.

Here’s what his family had to say:

“Dusty has been a DREAM puppy since day 1. He transitioned into a busy household with two teenagers, a dachshund, and two kitties without missing a beat. Dusty was completely crate trained when we picked him up at 8 weeks and was well on his way to being potty trained as well. This has made all the difference!

He’s very loving, extremely playful, and super smart! Our 6-year-old dachshund is obsessed with him and apparently has been wishing for a brother! 😆

We cannot say enough good things about RVA Doodles and your breeding program. I cannot imagine Dusty not being a part of our family! We love him so much!”

I’m often asked how I’m able to let my puppies leave. The answer is families like this. ❤️ I’ve been incredibly blessed to find wonderful families who love these babies just as much as I do. Most stay in touch and send updates, allowing me to watch them grow and see how loved they are.

Seeing the joy and smiles that RVA Doodles puppies bring to their families is my “why.” I love bringing happiness into people’s lives through a new family member they’ll love forever. 🐾❤️

Bo is living his best life with his family, and I absolutely love seeing him so happy! ♥️ From neighborhood walks to settling in with his new sister Bailey, he’s making himself right at home.

“Bo has been such a wonderful addition to our family ♥️ He is loving and playful and brings so much joy to us. He and his new sister Bailey are getting to know each other more and more each day and have even played a few times.

Bo has been amazing with the kennel from day one. He sleeps with no accidents from 10-6 each day and wakes up happy and rested.

He’s conquered the leash walk and loves sniffing his way around the neighborhood.

Watching him grow and change the last few weeks has been so much fun, he has such a loving temperament.”

This beautiful girl joined her forever family this past week, and her name is now Ginger!

Ginger will remain part of our RVA Doodles program as a future mama, and if her love for puppies is any indication, we have a feeling she’ll be a wonderful one. I’ve truly never seen another dog love puppies as much as Ginger does! 🐾

We already miss her happy, wagging tail and spunky personality around here, but knowing how loved she is makes this next chapter so special.

We’re so thankful for her guardian family, who is taking such wonderful care of her and putting in the time, love, and training to help her become a great canine citizen. We can’t wait to watch our sweet Ginger grow with her family! 🏡💕

Charred represents what being a local business is all about: giving back, supporting neighbors, and showing up for the community. They are dedicated supporters of our public safety community and do so much to help local people in need. 💙

They’re also a wonderful place to work. My daughter started working at Charred as a teenager and has continued into adulthood, making this a place that means so much to our family.

We are looking for a special guardian home for this handsome boy through RVA Doodles! Bo will live with you as a beloved family companion while remaining part of our breeding program. You will receive him at no purchase cost, but becoming a guardian home is a serious commitment with ongoing care expenses and responsibilities. Please read the requirements below.

Bo is a 15-week-old chocolate phantom Goldendoodle who currently weighs 11 pounds. His estimated adult weight is 20 to 25 pounds. He already sleeps in his crate from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.! 🤎

Bo LOVES being outside, so finding someone who enjoys the outdoors as much as he does is especially important. We’d love for him to have a family who includes him in their everyday life and adventures.
