Lookin’ good, old man!

Coheed is a senior gelding who will live out his life with us. He has been in our care just shy of 20 years. The care he received for the first 6 years of his life is unknown…..he landed in an auction as a 6 year old stallion who was malnourished and scared. He had the fresh wounds of a halter recently cut from his head; far too small….so much so that it was in-bedded in his skin and created deformities as he grew.
Glad to say the bad years of his existence are now far outnumbered by the good ones ♥️

You were so sweet and such a good friend to all of the other special senior horses, especially Missy.
You spent 8 years living in retirement with us, helping to teach volunteers and children about horses. We miss you already!

Run free and eat all the grass you want, sassy pony! Sparkle was able to touch the lives of SO many during her time with us and was the perfect resident unicorn!She tolerated adults but loved her adoring little fans who will miss her magic the most. She required lots of specialized care to keep her happy and healthy during the last 7 years of her life and we know she’s on the other side if that rainbow bridge running down through fields of grass now🌈 🦄 ❤️ ✨ 🦄 # 🌈 middletownmd
