Hey all - I know I mentioned an Herb Garden Workshop back in February... well those little seedlings have taken off and they need to find some homes.

I have 6 of these planters and your choice of 3 herbs! Instead of an in person workshop I have decided to sell these boxes for $30 each and it will include a Herb Garden Workshop Digital Guide. The guide will give you everything you need to know about herbs, how to care for them and how to harvest and preserve them.

On this cold dreary Monday and the week ahead… I am dreaming of warmer weather and growing my favorite foods.

A little update on the seeds. We planted out our leafy greens, some beets and carrots, some peas, broccoli and cauliflower.

We also tried out a little herb garden. Who wants one?

This may not be the most beautiful to some… but to me this is my dream played out in real life.

As you know I want to see fresh quality food grown in your back yards and outside of every restaurant, and really anywhere there is enough space to put it.

We visited a restaurant today and as we were leaving I looked around and these beautiful raised beds were full of food. Yes the frost may have hit them but I am sure these beds fed lots of people during the growing season.

Do you have a sunny side yard and want to grow lovely things this spring?

This is what we did last summer and this family harvested tomatoes, green beans, and peppers all summer. They should have asparagus next summer and strawberries come in this spring. They also will have raspberries and blackberries.

I’d like to introduce myself. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Ashley Kight and I have grown to love the garden. For the past 5 or so years I have gardened and grown so much produce in my backyard garden. My garden has given me space to rest, restore, and grow.

Now I want to help others grow beautiful things and yummy food. Can you imagine cutting your salad right out of your back yard or on your balcony? Picking a fresh tomato in mid summer and enjoying a home grown tomato sandwich?

We never take enough photos on this weekend! But we had so much fun just enjoying each others company. We chatted with old friends, made some new ones, bought some goodies and enjoyed some talks. Thank you for another great weekend.

Happy Fall yall!!! I finally got this bed turned over. Planted a few seeds and some brassicas.

Green onions, carrots, kale, spinach, lettuce, broccoli starts, cauliflower starts, and one Brussels sprout start.

Do I know all of this will work out… no. Is it fun to experiment… yes.

Frederick friends… it’s time for and we entered 11 veggies this year and took 4 ribbons. Did you know you can enter your veggies and get passes to come daily?

We are starting go harvest from our garden. Cucumbers tomatoes and squash (tromboncino). This squash is so yummy. I sliced 5 cups for dinner and still had squash left for the next night to cut up.

We are starting to plan out fall gardens.
