And biomechanics!
A horseβs jaw moves forward to stop, back up, flex, and collect. It moves forward and to the side to turn, and back to run or extend.
When a horse begins to lope, the teeth come together. Imbalance or incorrect angles can compromise the performance of the rest of the body.
All of these movements require the jaw to move freely in every direction (eating is important, too!) which is why it is so important to not only have a mouth that is free of sharp points and obvious malocclusions, but a mouth that is truly balanced (Equilibrated).
I work on them so they work for you π¦· π
