Tall Pines had a great time at Purina Days at Tractor Supply today.
LOTS of meet and greets and questions about dog training. Saw a lot of old friends and made some new. We even demonstrated scentwork with the sidewalk displays.

Thank you to all who came out for our C-Wags Rally Obedience Trial today. Started off with more monsoons but about 2 hrs into it, the sun came out and it got hot and steamy! Thanks to judges Paige Malone and Ginger Alpine. Special thanks to my committee of Deb Gallagher, Tracey Cooper and Mike Haines. Also lending a hand were Veronica and Bill Annick and thanks to Greg and Hilda Cook for helping to put up new wall fans.
Cadence did very well qualifying and placing in her runs even while we were waiting in the pouring rain. Johnny needs more skills before going into the rally ring but he will be ready come fall. Many new titles today from new and old friends alike. Even with the rain, we had a lot of fun! Thanks!

Be careful of these temps when walking your dog!

Pet Owners Beware...This type of heat can lead to paw burns in just 1 minute for a dog walking on pavement, and about 5 minutes on the sidewalk. Hydration is very important for pets and humans alike, but the hot surfaces are another concern.

It was a hot one, but today was the last day for Tall Pines C-Wags Scent League. Im very proud of everyone who qualified, or earned a title in the past 4 weeks! Also, special thanks to all of our judges - Suzan Bocciarelli, Tricia Barstow, Ann Spurrier, Ginger Alpine and Paige Malone! Also thank you to scent helpers Bonnie, Chrystal and Veronica and time keeper Lorenzo. We had a new Trial Sec this time and she did an awesome job tabulating scores and doing all the paperwork. Tracey Cooper, we could not have done it without you! Mike Haines, thanks for your help in setting up and tearing down each week and special thanks to Betty Jean Grieg. Even though she couldnt be with us, she sent toys today to all the competitors.
Cadence earned her Lev 3 Investigator title after taking a year off and young Johnny earned his Lev 1 Scent Patrol title today.
