Summer may be winding down, but our furry friends know how to make the most of those last sunny days! 🐱

Fun fact: Cats love warm, sunny spots because they can help them conserve energy and stay cozy. Soaking up a little sunshine is basically a cat’s version of a summer vacation! ☀️

As we head toward the end of summer, make sure your pets get plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine but always provide fresh water, shade, and a cool place to retreat when temperatures rise 💦🌳

Today we’re celebrating all the sassy, sweet, curious and cuddly cats who make our lives better. 💕🐾🐾

At Middlebury Animal Hospital & Rehab, we believe our feline friends deserve veterinary care that feels as comfortable and stress-free as possible. From gentle handling to cozy blankets and a little extra patience, we’re always looking for ways to make their visits a more positive experience.

Give your favorite feline an extra treat, a little chin scratch, and maybe forgive them for whatever they knocked over this week. 😹

Meows, chirps, trills, purrs, hisses… Fuzzles has apparently decided that having an extensive vocabulary is part of her job description 🐱

📍 Did you know that July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month?

🐶🐱 Fuzzles’ Lost Pet Prevention Tips:
🐾 Make sure your pet always wears a collar with a current ID tag.
🐾 Keep your pet’s microchip information updated with your current phone number and address.
🐾 Use a secure leash and properly fitted harness when out for walks.
🐾 Check fences and gates regularly for gaps or damage.
🐾 Keep recent photos of your pet just in case you ever need to make a lost pet flyer.

A few minutes of preparation today can make all the difference tomorrow.
