Thank you to all the New York thoroughbred breeders who joined us yesterday for Amsterdam Two’s inaugural stallion show on Saturday. We are ecstatic about the reception to Arzak🚀 — New York’s only son of Not This Time — and can’t wait til this time next year when his first foals hit the ground!

With winter racing at the new Belmont Park set to take place exclusively on Tapeta, a reminder that Arzak🚀 won 4 of his 8 career starts on that very same synthetic surface!

Not only did Arzak annex the Grade 3 Jacques Cartier Stakes and Thorncliffe Stakes at Woodbine (the latter in New Track Record time for 5 1/2 furlongs), but also the Tom Ridge Stakes at Presque Isle, and a maiden special weight second time out as a juvenile (going 6 furlongs at Woodbine).

Come meet Arzak — New York's ONLY son of the wickedly versatile and undeniably white-hot Not This Time — this Saturday 1/10/26, from 11am-3pm. Lunch will be served!

Beyond excited to have Wasabi Ventures Stallions as a shareholder in Arzak! And beyond fascinated to read Housatonic Bloodstock's deep-dive analysis of why they've chosen Aquatic Approach — an Omaha Beach half-sis to multiple graded stakes winner Mission of Joy — to be part of Arzak's first book.

With several close relatives by Giant's Causeway that excelled on the track, Aquatic Approach will head to a son of Not This Time for the second time in three years in 2026, when she visits Arzak.

With a quartet of 2-year-old winners on Sunday — three in maiden special weight company and one vs. allowance foes — Not This Time (sire of Arzak 🚀) extended his lead over Into Mischief in the race for 2025's Leading Sire of 2-year-olds by Progeny Earnings.

BloodHorse caught up with Jason Loutsch, racing manager for Albaugh Family Stables (who bred and owns a significant portion of Not This Time) to talk about the stallion's incredible 2025, his incredible versatility, and his chances at becoming a sire of sires with sons like Arzak, Epicenter and Up to the Mark poised to carry on his legacy.
