Not This Boy shook off persistent pace pressure from Komorebino Omoide, then held off a late rail bid from Sir Greylind to score a game victory in the $100,000 Tenacious Stakes on Saturday at Fair Grounds.

Those were some heady words from pedigree guru Sid Fernando, talking about the sire of Amsterdam Two's Arzak🚀, during a recent appearance on At the Races With Steve B*k.

Homebred Twohonestmischief broke his maiden in NY Bred MSW company Friday. This gelding had been knocking on the door running in the money 7 of his 8 starts as a 3yo prior to Friday. His win Friday boosted his lifetime earnings to $140,540 and with this kind of consistency we are excited to see what his future holds.

Not This Time — sire of our multiple Grade 2 winner Arzak🚀 — already has Leading Turf Sire of 2025 in the bag, but with 22 days of racing left on the calendar, he's also holding a slight edge over Into Mischief in the race for Leading Sire of 2-Year-Olds by Progeny Earnings.

Not This Time's remarkable stats with his 2023 foal crop also find him at No. 1 by number of 2-year-old winners (37), 2-year-old stakes winners (nine), and 2-year-old black-type performers (16).

With his win in the Grade 3 Cecil B. DeMille Stakes at Del Mar on Sunday, Unrivaled Time became the 27th individual stakes winner (14 of them graded) in 2025 for Not This Time — sire of Amsterdam Two's exciting new stallion prospect Arzak🚀.

Yes, our page has been a bit of a broken record the last few days, touting Not This Time's black-type winners on Friday (Magnitude), Saturday (On Time Girl) and Sunday (Unrivaled Time) — and that's not even counting In Our Time's runner-up effort yesterday in Del Mar's Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes. (Whew!)

Worth noting that Unrivaled Time is out of a mare by Creachadoir (IRE) — a grandson of Kingmambo. And Not This Time crossed with sons and grandsons of Kingmambo is proving to be a very potent source of stakes winners. From 12 foals of racing age bred on this cross (including a trio of unraced 2-year-olds), 8 of them are winners, with three of those winners scoring in black-type events: Unrivaled Time (G3), Way to Be Marie and Schwarzenegger.

That's a wicked 25% stakes winners from foals of racing age bred on the Not This Time-Kingmambo cross. Something to think about if you're a New York (or even Northeast) breeder with a daughter of Kingmambo, Lemon Drop Kid, Henrythenavigator, Kiss the Kid or Code West in your broodmare band, or if your mare has Kingmambo blood up close in her pedigree!
