I found two pigeons in the back of the NBT bank in Middleburgh! They don't fly! I think they are too young to fly yet, but I don't know much about pigeons! They were making coo-cooing noises in a box! Does anyone know who rescues pigeons?

One of our board members met the owner of a pit bull who is in dire need of assistance in finding a home for her pit bull! The woman lives in the Bronx, and the board member expressed concern that her pit bull could be used as a fighting dog. We do not have the facility to house the dog, but we have been reaching out to pit bull rescue groups. Any assistance or referrals would be greatly appreciated! Sincerely, [email protected]

FREE: I have two 2 yr. old neuter/spayed brother & sister Great Pyrenees dogs that would be great for a sheep, goat or pig farmer. They are up to date on vaccinations and are good dogs! They are semi friendly at first but once they get know you, they behave very well! Their names are Bonnie & Clyde. Now that there are no more farm animals at the sanctuary the dogs are extremely board. They have been confined to the sanctuary by an underground electric fence with a collar. Anyone interested in adopting them, please get back to me ASAP!

Capatin, Joey, and Biscuit have been adopted by another sanctuary. It's sad that my three amigos are gone, but I had to think what was best for them! The Pigs are at Broom Sanctuary. Currently, I have eight dogs, but hopefully, three will be adopted soon. I am planning to put up the farm for sale around August 1st! I am 71 years old and live alone, and it has become difficult to keep up the farm sanctuary to its former glory! I want to thank all the people who followed Gilba Stables and Animal Sanctuary on Facebook! I enjoyed caring for the animals that came to the sanctuary and the bonds I made with them. Interacting with the animals is one of my best experiences, and something I will always cherish! Thank You!

Sadly! Spike the Boxer had to be euthanized yesterday! Spike had an array of health issues when I got him, but he enjoyed his three-year plus stay at the farm with his other buddies. Spike will be missed by many!
