🌟We are so excited to be bringing a few very special horses to the Equine Affaire this year!🌟

If you are in the market for a new horse or pony, make sure to come see us in C barn!

Introducing the first of our Equine Affaire line up!

🌊Wild Island Pegasus “Zephyr” 🌊

Zephyr is a 2 1/2 year old papered CHINCOTEAGUE PONY! Zephyr swam over in 2024. ( check out the baby pics of him in the wild with his mama🥹❤️)!

Zephyr spent all summer with us learning the ropes of being a civilized boy. He does all the things a baby horse should do. Lunges, stands on crossties to be groomed/ bathed /tacked, picks up all 4 feet , stands for vet and farrier, loads well, and has done obstacles and cattle work in hand! He has really been exposed to a lot in his short life!

We have backed him and taken a handful of short rides on the lunge line as well as off the lunge line in a round pen . He has also been ponied off of other horses. He has a great foundation and wants to please . He will require a trainer to finish him off and bring him to his full potential.

With his flashy color and adorable movement I think he would make a fantastic hunter pony, but the possibilities are endless for this little guy!

Like most Chincoteague ponies- Zephyr is a hardy fella. Great feet, no need for a blanket and pretty much stays fat on air. He has a hilarious personality and loves to be the center of attention.

Yesterday, the senior level Equine Methods of Training class from JWU Equine & Animal Science visited the farm! 📚🎓🚌

We spent time talking about and demonstrating many different training techniques and tools.

We also covered training and conditioning green horses with Toodles, halter breaking and beginning to back young horses with Zephyr and breaking a horse to a new discipline with Bartender. 🤓

It’s always a pleasure to host the JWU classes!💙💛

A huge congratulations to Elizabeth on the purchase of our best boy, Asher. 🎊

This is truly a match made in heaven. Elizabeth is a good friend and is so deserving of this once in a life time horse. We couldn’t ask for a better home for Asher. 🩶🥹
