🎬 DEAN HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

We had been open for approximately three and a half minutes before he said, “Thank you, thank you, you’ve all been wonderful,” and exited stage left.

We’re pretty sure he had this planned from the beginning.

Congratulations to Dean and his new family! ❤️

Meanwhile, his brothers Clark and Marlon are still waiting backstage for their own happy endings. 🐾✨

🦩⚠️ The shared brain cell of Knife & Whisk has detected a threat.

Unfortunately, neither of them knows what the threat is, but they are committed to fighting it anyway.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Sometime after hours, a very generous person stopped by and left behind this gorgeous bench and matching tables.

Needless to say, we were pretty excited when we discovered them.

We LOVE them and are so incredibly grateful. They look fantastic and will be enjoyed by our visitors, our staff, and quite possibly the outdoor feral colony, who have already inspected them, declared themselves the rightful owners, and are currently debating seating assignments. 🐈☀️

🌭🐾 PAWS & CLAWS SHOWCASE UPDATE! 🐾🌭

Can you believe it? The Paws & Claws Showcase on July 25th is approaching faster than a cat who just heard the treat container open.

Unfortunately, our BBQ inventory is currently being stored in the same place as my motivation to fold laundry: nowhere.

At this point, our backup plan involves Ruth standing in the parking lot making sizzling noises while Brittany waves a bottle of mustard around and assures everyone this counts as a meal.

We feel there are better options. 😹

So we will be collecting donations of:

🌭 Hot dogs
🥩 Hamburgers
🌭 Brats
🍔 Buns
🧀 Condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, etc.)
🥤 Drinks
🧊 Bags of ice
🍟 Chips
🍽️ Napkins, plates, and utensils

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we’ll be providing FREE food to visitors attending the event while they meet local rescues, learn about adoptable animals, and enjoy a day dedicated to helping homeless pets.

Every pack of hot dogs, every bag of chips, and every bottle of ketchup helps us create a fun community event while raising support for the animals who need us most.

No donation is too small. Unless it’s one single potato chip. Then we’re going to have questions. 😹

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during our regular business hours. If you’d prefer to make a monetary donation toward food and event supplies, we’d be grateful for that too!

Let’s make the first-ever Paws & Claws Showcase a day to remember. 🐾🌭🍔

Because nothing brings animal lovers together quite like helping pets… and free food. 😸

🎬 READY FOR ADOPTION ON JUNE 5! 🎬

Introducing our Old Hollywood heartthrobs: Dean, Clark, and Marlon! ❤️

These handsome boys were born right here at the shelter on February 16, 2026, after their beautiful mama, Audrey, arrived with a starring role already in the works. Since then, they’ve been growing up backstage, perfecting their kitten antics, mastering the art of looking adorable, and preparing for their big debut into forever homes.

Each boy has his own personality, so be sure to check the description under each photo for their individual bios!

These leading men are officially ready to make their way from the silver screen to your living room. 🎥🐾

Just be warned: unlike the Hollywood stars they’re named after, these boys are unlikely to demand private dressing rooms. They will, however, demand snacks.

🐾 Adoption Information 🐾

• Adoption fee is $125.
• All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested before adoption.
• Adoptions are first come, first served.
• We do not place holds.
• Staff will distribute numbers in parking lot order prior to opening.
• You must remain on shelter property to keep your place in line.
• Once staff arrives, you are welcome to come inside and use the restroom while waiting.
• Adoption hours are Friday 2 PM to 6 PM and Saturday & Sunday 12 PM to 4 PM.

**Please remember to be respectful to our staff, volunteers, and fellow adopters while waiting. While we do not encourage camping out overnight or waiting all day, some people choose to do so. If you arrive early, please be courteous and considerate of others in the parking lot.**

Human: “I’m rescuing this cat.”

Cat: initiates psychological warfare

Human 48 hours later: “I would die for him.”

We call them “adoptions” because “successful host acquisition” sounds a little alarming. 😂😂🐈‍⬛

5 adults getting adopted in just 2 days is ridiculously satisfying, even more than 24 kittens that everybody wants! It seems we had a ton of visitors today and yesterday too it was chaos like a cat cafe here and I was thinking of installing a revolving door. Seriously, our hearts are full because of all you animal lovers WHO were just cat-astrophically happy to cuddle our cats!

The keyboard kitties are disappearing from our inventory, and honestly, we love to see it. ❤️⌨️🐾

Today, Ampersand and Bracket found their forever home together.

Now, you may notice only one of them appears in the official adoption photo.

That is because Ampersand reviewed the situation, evaluated the available options, and chose chaos.

The family was ready.

The camera was ready.

Bracket was ready…kind of…

Ampersand was apparently busy pursuing other career opportunities.

Thankfully, we had an earlier photo from when she first arrived, because these girls deserve their moment in the spotlight.

After everything they’ve been through, seeing them walk out the door together feels pretty special. What started in a crowded house ended with a family of their own, soft places to nap, and people who already love them exactly as they are.. even when they refuse to pose for pictures. 🫠

Congratulations, sweet girls. May your future be filled with sunshine, snacks, and just enough trouble to keep life interesting. ❤️🐾✨

Two more boys from the hoarding situation and our keyboard group have officially found their forever. ⌨️🐾

Enter and Escape went home…together. ❤️

Honestly, it feels fitting.

After everything they’ve been through, they got to hit Enter on a brand new chapter and Escape from the life they left behind.

And to their adopters’ surprise, Escape’s adoption was sponsored by a kind soul who wanted to help one more shelter cat find his happily-ever-after. ❤️

These boys won’t have to navigate it alone, either. They get to take their friendship with them and start their happily-ever-after side by side.

From a crowded house to a forever home.

From surviving to thriving.

We couldn’t be happier for these sweet boys. ❤️🐾

Now if you’ll excuse us, the shelter staff will be over here pretending we didn’t get emotional about two keyboard cats finding exactly where they belong. 🥹⌨️💕
