Nala is another of our lake kitties. She's a very curious girl and another chatterbox. Nala likes pretty much everyone, really likes a few people, and loves our volunteer Angie, whom she helps with tasks throughout the day. When she's not following Angie, Nala likes running on our exercise wheel, sleeping in our cubbies, and sitting atop the ladder.
The Black Cat Bonanza runs tomorrow, August 9th, 11-4 at Wyoming County Fairgrounds. We've had many generous donations for our basket raffles, vendors, a bake sale and chicken barbecue. We hope to see you there!

Today, we introduce Willow, one of the sweetest cats at the rescue. This pretty girl is the epitome of resilience. She has ongoing issues, yet never hesitates to share her loving spirit. Willow is also a talker, and she has quite a funny personality.
Many of our cats have chronic health concerns, and donations help to pay for needed veterinary care. The Black Cat Bonanza is one of our major fundraisers, and we'll appreciate everyone who contributes to its success.

Today we introduce another of our lake kitties, the beautiful Mary. Mary is a boss queen, and we think she may be related to our lovely Niblet. Mary likes to hang out around the sink, where she prefers water fresh from the faucet. She's a vocal girl, and has a permanently perturbed expression, though those who know her know she is actually very sweet.
Mary thinks everyone should attend the Black Cat Bonanza on Sarurday, August 9, from 11-4 at Wyoming County Fairgrounds.

OMG today we had to put down our most beautiful cat "ZION". We loved him deeply. Our rescue will.never ever be the same without him. We love all of our rescues, but he was special and different. He had a tumor in his colon
He was suffering. Today is a heartbreaking day for our rescue. So many tears. ZION you will never be forgotten. We love you and will miss you always. Rest easy sweet boy.

Say hello to Percy, one of our more timid kitties. Percy spent his first two years with us trying to not be seen, and he did a good job, thanks to his striking resemblance to our sweet boy Albert. Nowadays, he is happy to have a little loving when he is feeling secure, usually snuggled up with his best friend Max.
Black cats are the least frequently adopted, and timid cats have even less of an opportunity. We've seen good changes in Percy, and we hope that one day someone will give him his best forever home.
