Hello again our dear friends,

Our Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association has confirmed with the governor's office that veterinary hospitals fall under the healthcare heading of Life-Sustaining businesses, and we will be able to stay open to care for your pets. However, under this heading, ELECTIVE PROCEDURES ARE PROHIBITED. Elective procedures include most sterilization procedures (spays and neuters), routine dental cleanings, yearly wellness appointments, and routine toe nail trims and a**l gland care.

**We are permitted to perform emergency care and surgery, as well as urgent care for painful or life-threatening conditions.** We will also be able to provide vital vaccine boosters, puppy and kitten wellness care, medication refills, and prevention for fleas and ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites. ALL CARE WILL BE PROVIDED IN KEEPING WITH OUR SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS.

WE REMAIN COMMITTED TO YOUR PET'S COMFORT AND WELL-BEING.

**Our staff will call you to reschedule any wellness care or elective procedures that are currently booked.** If you need to schedule a new appointment for your pet's routine care, please be advised we will begin accommodating these appointments in mid-May or June.

PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. We thank you for your continued understanding as we all navigate these uncharted waters.❤️😷

To our dear friends and families of Wyalusing Pet Clinic,

In order for us to provide you with our best during this trying time of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is our responsibility to institute a social distancing policy effective immediately. This does NOT mean that we will stop providing services for you and your pets! Our primary goal is to keep all our staff and visitors to our hospital as safe from community spread of this virus as we possibly can.

1. Please refrain from visiting us if you are sick, especially with signs such as a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing. If you must make an appointment for your pet, or pick up food or medications, please have a healthy friend or family member come instead.
2. In order to prevent crowded conditions in our lobby, please be prepared to wait in your vehicle with your pet. You can let us know when you will be arriving or have arrived with a phone call, and one of our staff members will be able to es**rt you inside when we are ready to begin your appointment.
3. Please know that disinfection is a crucial part of our jobs on a normal day, and that we are putting forth even more stringent efforts to provide you with a clean environment.
4. Please be sure to call medication refills in with 24-hour advanced notice. If you come any sooner, and your medication is not ready, we will ask you to come back the next day to pick it up. We cannot make any exceptions to this rule at this time. Also remember you can order food an medications through our online store, Purina Vet Direct, or Hill's to Home services.

As always, we are happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your understanding as we put these necessary safety measures in place!

This week our precious July went home to Heaven. He was the consummate office kitty - he saw as his mission to greet patients, supervise our work (especially pen usage!), hunt the critters (mice, snakes, and catnip ones), make sure any warming device was working properly, and mark every room as his. We will so deeply miss our companion of almost 15 years - his antics, his headbutts, and playing rock with him in our yard. We will always love you July ❤️😢❤️
