After 10 years at RBAH, it’s time to say goodbye to Nina as she begins a new adventure all the way out West.

For the past decade, Nina has been a friendly face, a calming voice, and an inseparable part of our Reception Team. She has cared deeply for our clients, patients, and coworkers, and her kindness and dedication have touched countless lives along the way.

While we will miss her greatly, we are excited for this next chapter and wish her happiness and success.

Thank you, Nina, for 10 wonderful years. Once part of the RBAH family, always part of the RBAH family. ❤️

Aga is proof that fitness can be fun. Through the dedication of his handlers, Stephanie and Jon, he continues to excel in sports. This team recently added dock diving to their repertoire, and Aga is already invited to a championship! Staying active, building skills, and enjoying every leap off the dock - after a life of service, Aga is living his best retirement 💙🐾

At Raleigh Bartlett Animal Hospital, we are committed to helping pets live active, healthy lives. Regular exercise, mental enrichment, and activities tailored to each dog’s abilities are important parts of lifelong wellness, and Aga is a great example of what that can look like. Ask us about dog sports and which may be a good fit for your loyal companion!

Doberman Pinschers are unfortunately predisposed to developing dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a serious heart disease that may not show obvious signs until it is advanced.

One of the best tools for early detection is a Holter monitor, which records the heart’s rhythm continuously over 24 hours while your dog goes about normal daily activities. This can help identify abnormal heart rhythms that may be missed during a routine exam or brief ECG.

At Raleigh Bartlett Animal Hospital, we offer in-house Holter monitoring to help screen at-risk breeds and monitor dogs already diagnosed with heart disease.

Lola recently spent a day sporting her Holter monitor with help from Lorena and James—and we’re happy to report her results looked great!

If you have a Doberman or another breed at risk for heart disease, talk to us about whether Holter monitoring is right for your dog.

All gave some. Some gave all.

Remembering those who served, sacrificed, and gave everything for our freedom this Memorial Day. 🇺🇸 Remembering the working dogs who ran into danger with canine abandon, to never return.

From all of us at RBAH, we honor the heroes who are never forgotten.

Our office is closed in observance today. We hope everyone has a safe day, but local emergency rooms are open. We will return to normal business hours tomorrow.

Yesterday was National Rescue Dog Day! Mia and Zane ended up at RBAH as young dogs with uncertain futures. Dr L and James took them in and have made them a part of their family. At 13 and 10 years old, they have been the Practice “regulars” and always delight the team with their friendly, grateful antics.

Share pictures of your rescues in comments! We’d love to see them.

Many human medications, prescription and over the counter, are dangerous to our pets. Please consult your Veterinarian before administering any medications! Should your pet experience an accidental exposure, contact Poison Control immediately. And remember, cats are not small dogs. They are extremely sensitive to items that may seem innocuous.

Some patients make the whole clinic smile the second they walk through the door. Tux is definitely one of them.

Annual exam day included treats, attention, and showing off a few dance moves for the team. We’re grateful for families who trust us with dogs like this sweet boy year after year. 🖤🤍
