Sarge was kept in the barn last night in a panel stall, which he has for the past several nights when it has been so cold. This morning, he was loose in the barn with the stall looking like this. The stall was totally closed, along with the gate being latched. How did he get out? I have not known him to be a jumper.

This is chores in below zero temps. Tunnel vision and reduced eyesight as glasses fog up with the face mask. We feed 14 horses grain on a daily basis. I really appreciated the slow walking horses today with the additional layers on! The mares were fed bales without the hay nets as many are older and they need addditional hay in this cold snap.

Keeping the boys happy.

Sierra and I took a short ride on Polly and Rayna. We rode along our adjacent field and into the creek bed for a bit. Polly continues to do well. Today in the trail setting walking over downed trees and in low brush, in the field and along the road. A couple of mild spooks for her but she settled down quickly. Such a good arena and trail horse!
