🌟 Cinnamon: The Little Dog With the Biggest Comeback 🌟
When Cinnamon first arrived at our shelter back in June of 2025, she was just a 6‑month‑old puppy—tiny, squatty, and full of potential. But her body told a different story. She came to us with severe mange, the result of long-term inadequate care. We fought for her in court, and we won. Cinnamon finally had a chance to start over.
We thought she’d be adopted quickly. After all, who could resist a 35‑lb bully mix with cinnamon‑swirl coloring and a heart ready to bloom? But days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. No one came. Not yet.
Thankfully, Cinnamon didn’t have to wait alone.
One of our incredible fosters stepped up—an angel with patience, grit, and a heart big enough to hold all the pieces Cinnamon didn’t know how to put together. Because Cinnamon wasn’t just healing from mange. She was healing from a puppyhood without guidance, without socialization, without the chance to learn how to simply be a dog.
And so the work began.
Cinnamon learned how to trust hands that reached toward her.
How to rest in a crate and feel safe.
How to live in a home and be house trained.
How to meet other dogs slowly, gently, with structure and reassurance.
She’s dog-friendly, but because she never had proper introductions as a puppy, she’s still learning the social dance. With the help of her foster and a trainer, she’s making steady progress—but for now, she’ll thrive best as the only dog in the home, with patient meet-and-greets as she continues to grow.
Today, Cinnamon is spayed, heartworm negative, crate trained, house trained, and ready for adventure. She’d love an active family and would absolutely shine with a fenced yard to explore. She can even cross state lines to find her perfect match.
✨ Six months. That’s how long she’s been waiting.
Six months of learning, healing, and hoping.
Six months of becoming the dog she was always meant to be.
Now she just needs someone to see her.
Someone who believes in second chances.
Someone who understands that the best dogs are often the ones who had to fight the hardest to bloom.
Someone who will give her the forever she’s been dreaming of.
Cinnamon is ready.
She’s done the work.
She’s waited long enough.
💛 If you think her forever might be with you, reach out. Cinnamon’s story deserves a beautiful next chapter—and you could be the one to write it.
