🌟🐾 Mabel: The Sweetest Little Wallflower Ready to Bloom! 🐾🌟
37 pounds of gentle goodness, waiting for her very first real home 💛

She came to us at just 6 months old last February. She and her mom, Paprika, were transferred to the SPCA hoping for more visibility… but instead they waited over a year with almost no interest.
We brought them back because we couldn’t stand watching them fade into the background.

Paprika has now headed to Critters 4 U Rescue for her next chapter — and yes, we’re sad they’re apart 💔
But the reality is simple: bonded pairs almost never get adopted together, and after a full year with zero interest, we had to give each girl her own chance.

🐾 Update from our Brave Buddies Program! 🐾

We didn’t get the chance to host Sammy for the day because… he was adopted! 🎉💛
(And honestly, that’s the best outcome we could ask for!)

But don’t worry—we’ve got another amazing pup joining us…

🐶 Meet Champ — our new Brave Buddy for tomorrow!

Champ is a 3-year-old, neutered sweetheart who is:

🐾 “Are these dogs good with kids?” Let’s talk about it.

We get this question all the time, and here’s the honest answer:
We don’t keep a stash of sacrificial children in the broom closet to “test” dogs on.
(We checked. HR said no.)

But — thanks to our Brave Buddies program and our growing network of fosters — more and more of our dogs are getting real‑world exposure to families, outings, and yes, kids.

And when we do know, we tell you.

👶❤️ Dogs we can confidently say LOVE kids
Because of their time with Brave Buddies, fosters, and community outings, dogs like:
- Champ (white/tan) 3 year old neutered male - dog, cat, and kid friendly
- Allie (gray) 4 year old spayed female - dog, and kid friendly
- Cinnamon (tan) 1 year old spayed female - male dog friendly
- Majestic (black/white) 4 year old male - dog, kid, cat friendly

…have all been around children and done beautifully. These guys don’t just tolerate kids — they light up around them. They love families, they love attention, and they’d thrive in a home full of tiny snack‑dispensing humans.

Sammy is a 6‑year‑old, neutered, low‑energy sweetheart who was surrendered this week through no fault of his own. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people, nap in sunny spots, and keep life simple.

💛 What we know about Sammy
- About 6 years old
- Neutered and fully vetted (rabies vaccine coming shortly)
- Great with dogs and kids — lived with both and did beautifully
- No cats or chickens — high prey drive
- Easygoing, gentle, and low‑maintenance

🚨 Why he needs out now
Our facility is in Code Red, and we have three more dogs arriving Friday from a community member in crisis. Sammy does not deserve to sit in a kennel a minute longer than he has to.

He’s a good dog who lost his home, not because of anything he did — and he’s ready to be someone’s family again.
