Why are we renovating? Because our home deserves it, and so do your pets. 🐾

Since Dr. Thomas J. Campbell opened our doors in 1974, Animal General Hospital has cared for generations of South Florida dogs and cats under the same roof. More than 50 years of wagging tails, nervous kitties and happy reunions add up, and our floors have earned a refresh.

What this means for your pet:
✔️ A cleaner, fresher space every visit
✔️ Safer, steadier footing for little paws
✔️ A better place for our team to give the one-on-one care you count on

It's a big project for a small team, and we're grateful for your patience while we get it done. We'll be finished by [PLACEHOLDER], and we can't wait to show you.

Coming up next: what's NOT changing, and how to reach us during the work.

Part 2 of 5

We've been trying very hard to keep our renovations quiet and to disturb your visits as little as possible, but that hasn't been easy.

First and foremost, we apologize to all our valued clients. If you've had trouble reaching us, waited longer for a callback, or had to work around the noise and the mess, we hear you, and we're sorry.

After more than 50 years in the same building, Animal General Hospital is getting long-overdue upgrades. It's a big job for a small team, and some days it shows. What hasn't changed is why we're here: the same one-on-one care for your dogs and cats that Dr. Thomas J. Campbell started in 1974.

Over the next few days, we'll share why we're renovating, how to reach us while the work goes on, and a look behind the scenes.

Thank you for your patience, and for sticking with us. We can't wait to show you what's next. 🐾

NEW! From our blog:
If you've got a dog and a cat at home, be honest: which one is more overdue for a vet visit?

If it's the cat, you're not alone. Nationally, more than half of cats haven't seen a veterinarian in over a year — even though most of them are due for vaccines, parasite prevention, or a wellness exam. August 22 is National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, started by veterinary organizations to close that gap, and it's the perfect nudge to get your cat back on the calendar.

Cats visit the vet far less often than dogs — and it's putting their health at risk. Learn why routine checkups matter and how Animal General Hospital can help.

❤️❤️ADOPTED!! ❤️❤️

Look at this face.🥹🐱

This male kitten came to us as a stray & after being found nearby and now he is just waiting for someone to say "yes."

He's a kitten but his exact age isn't known. He is very friendly and cuddly - a little shy in his cage, but when you hold him, his personality shines! He has already been stealing hearts around our animal hospital. All he needs now is a family...is it yours?

Come meet him yourself. Call us at (305) 887-1764.🐱
