Sweet Bailey girl 💕
After a little incident at the groomers, Bailey came to see Dr. Vega and was diagnosed with a severe eye ulcer that required surgery. Eye ulcers can become extremely serious very quickly and may even threaten vision if not treated promptly.

Certain breeds, especially brachycephalic breeds like Shih Tzus, are more predisposed to eye issues due to their prominent eyes and facial structure, making early intervention so important.

Now Bailey is back home, healing comfortably, and getting all the love and cuddles she deserves. We’re so happy to see her feeling better! ✨

They look cute and funny, but ingestion can quickly turn into a medical emergency.
Symptoms include drooling, incontinence, weakness, agitation or tremors, and in severe cases: low heart rate, low body temperature, and even seizures.

Meet Princesa, who came in for her first kitten visit! 🐾

We got her started with the kitten essentials:
- screening for intestinal parasites
- her first FVRCP vaccine
- and a combo test (to check for FeLV/ FIV)

She had some strong opinions about her shots, but powered through like a champ! 🐱

Preventative care is just as important for indoor cats as it is for puppies. Early care helps set them up for a healthy life ahead! 💕

We are 1 of only 3 hospitals in all of Florida to earn this distinction — a huge accomplishment for our team and our community.

VECCS stands for the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society. This certification recognizes veterinary hospitals that meet rigorous standards in emergency preparedness, advanced patient care, staff training, equipment, and facility protocols. In other words — it means your pets are receiving emergency and critical care at the highest recognized level.
