Update: X-ray of chest was fine, our vet thinks it’s something in his throat /airway. He may not have asthma as first expected in February.
He was put on a stronger antibiotic to see if it takes away the weezing sound that may be from URI.. 🙏🏻
He is getting nebulizer treatments with Albuterol & Saline. He can’t get a steroid injection again due to being treated for ringworm. 😿
He was a nice kitty today the medication had him all melody. 😻

Pinto has asthma, hoping to get a chest X-ray today. He’s medicated to be calm.

Our handsome Stripes is settled into his new home and his new brother/ playmate. 😻
They enjoy hanging out watching birds & squirrels from the windows, napping any time they want and playing with many toys.
His new mom had to take in her mom’s dog recently due to a medical condition where she can’t take care of the dog. So a new adjustment is going on. Happy for Stripes and praying for his family. 😻🙏🏻❤️

Trying to help so many cats in different areas..
I came across this poor lil black kitty looking very pregnant her belly almost drags on the ground when she walks.🐈‍⬛ I tried to get her to go in a trap two different times now but she walks away. Today may be my last time to try again due to rain coming for a couple days. Plus Fri is a full moon and I think she’ll deliver then. 🙀 Yesterday I got close enough to snap this picture and can see she has a bad right eye. She also has a bald spot on the back of her right front leg. I asked her feeder about it and was told last yr she saw an injury and she was able to sq**rt some peroxide on it and it healed but the fur is still missing.

I have a feeder helping with the abandoned house cats and im happy to see they come out to eat but are skittish of me from trapping them.
I still have to catch the nursing calico. Trying to organize getting a couple guys to move junk out of the yard so we can try to find the 3 litters of kittens but the darn rain, wind & cold weather makes it difficult.. 😢

The truck lot cats seem to have wondered off looking for females I guess.. 🤦🏼‍♀️🐈🐈‍⬛
I stop there on the weekends to put food out since the guys aren’t there to feed (if they’re feeding). 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe they left to find food.. 😿
I finally saw the wht/orange cat come to eat.

Happy to see the cats that were fixed and released are ok and coming to eat. 😻
There’s still a couple more to catch, especially the calico mom cat.
Today I met with one of the neighbors to show her what I’m doing there and the help needed.
She is willing to help and feed the cats.
I’m trying to put together getting some guys to help clear some of the junk out the yard so we can get closer to the house and look for the kittens. 🙏🏻 There’s at least 3 litters we know of. 😿🐈🐈‍⬛ Praying there isn’t more..

6 cats were fixed and vaccinated, recovered then returned to their location. 1 other was taken to the shelter and being treated for eye infection. Another cat trapped was friendly and had been missing so he is now back with his family.

No wonder the black fluffy was protesting, I told clinic he was friendly so they scanned him for a chip & he had one so his owner was contacted and went to pick him up. She said he had been missing. So glad he has a home (hope he likes it).
The brown tabby is a male (daddy).
2 of the cats are lactating moms.. 🙀😿
I didn’t know and haven’t seen kittens cause these cats are hiding in an abandoned house by the demolition.. ugh 💔
Everyone had to be released on Sat. to go back to their kittens.

It’s been a busy couple of days and it’s not over yet. 🤦🏼‍♀️
Since opening that trapping can of worms…. The 3 cats I caught were all females and were 3rd trimester pregnant… 🙀 As much as I hate the thought of the babies not making it after mom is sedated, I’m glad the moms didn’t have to raise them in the streets.. I didn’t think they looked that big but maybe they only had small litters.
They are recovering a lil longer and being evaluated to see if they’re friendly before going back at their location. I’m contacting the City about cleaning up the lots so the cats won’t have to live in the mess. 😿 I put a shelter out for calico mom hoping she would move her kittens into it.. 🙏🏻🐈
I spotted the calico that was eating out of the trash bag and unfortunately she looks like she’s nursing kittens. I have no idea where her kittens are so she has to stay there till i figure it out.
I went back yesterday late afternoon and saw a big Siamese mix whos eyes were all red, he was squinting to try and see me. I made a little trail of smelly tuna food, and he went right to the trap for me. I had AC take him to the vet then shelter and will check on him tomorrow. Send prayers for that big boy, I did pet him once thru trap.🙏🏻

Today the calico kept going in the trap for food so after trying to chase her several times I let her get trapped & transfered her into a carrier to hold her out of my way. I had 4 spots to fill and the first 2 cats went in right away. The first was the wht/orange that kept following calico mom cat. Then the gray tabby/wht went in a trap.
The next 2 cats dragged out my time.. One kept walking around eating a couple pieces of dry food the spilled out the traps till he finally went in. That was the brown tabby.
Last spot was a fluffy black cat that came running to me from across the street and let me pet him (I think it’s a him). He has an eye infection going on so glad he came over. 😿
He kept sticking his head in the trap for some wet food but wouldn’t go in.
A guy was walking his dog and saw i was trapping and started talking to me about the cats. He said he’d grab the black cat for me but i turned down his offer. I asked him to hold his dog over on the sidewalk so the cat would come back for me to pet it. The cat came back to me so I scruffed him & put him in the trap.
The guy was impressed and asked if he could let me know if he sees cats that need help. I said you should call Animal Control. He said there was a trap across the street that had an opossum in it one time and her called AC but they never got through on the phone. He said someone let it out but I wonder if that’s what happened and what and why was someone trapping but not watching it… 🤔😡
He said he would get the trap so I agreed to ride over where it was. The trap was old and bent up and had would look like a can shaped like a sardines can with metal peeled back that somebody must’ve been trying to trap poor cats. They didn’t even pull the lid all the way off they could’ve cut their tongue. 😡🙀
I took that trap so that no one could try and hurt another cat or animal with it.. 😢💔

Pray I can find and get the kittens soon and calico mom cat will come with me and not be mad I held her in a carrier. They will need a foster and rescue to take them cus I can’t.

Driving down a street I saw a cat eating out of trash bags. This always makes me cringe cus you never know what they can be eating but mostly it means they’re very hungry. 😿💔
I pulled over & jumped out to see what the cat was eating and saw 2 other cats. A couple of the cats had round bellys so they might be pregnant. The calico cat was licking a vinyl glove that was brownish orange like gravy and bits of something. I picked it up and threw it in a trash can. The cat cud have choked if it chewed on the glove. 🙀
I put some dry food down & all 3 came to eat.
I went to speak to neighbors to ask about the cats and was told there’s a lot of cats in back of the houses. Since I was on my way somewhere I hurried and got back to the area with traps.
I was able to get what looks like 2 possibly pregnant females and the 3rd may be a male.
I wasn’t expecting to run into this can of worms..
I can use sponsors to help pay for their clinic appointments. It’s $30 per cat to get fixed, vaccinated, and flea tx.

4 Paws With A Cause is an animal rescue made up of loving foster homes.

We rescue, trap and re-home pets in need and maintain a small feral colony. We receive calls and emails everyday for animals in need of help. As a small rescue we do our best to accommodate or refer them to our rescue friends. Our founder Jodie Mangeri helps other rescues or people when an injured cat is in need by trapping it so medical care can be given. We are a 501c3 non-profit and depend on donations to run.
