💥Please read fully, important information regarding the rescue for the New Year.
We would like to wish everyone a safe, happy and fun New Year's!
Please be sure if there are going to be fireworks near you your dogs are in a safe area.
I am hoping the New Year brings homes for our amazing pups that have been waiting years.🥺
I would also like to address our situation. I have been getting bombarded with requests for owner surrenders and abandoned dogs, no requests to adopt, foster or donate, but here's the thing:
🐾I am a non profit 501c3 rescue
🐾I am not funded by anyone
🐾I rely on the generosity of the community, I can't get donations, everything has been coming out of my pocket for awhile now
🐾I rarely ask for help, but did ask for help in getting items for the pups for Christmas, 2 people helped and I am so grateful to them
🐾I have asked repeatedly for fosters and no one wants to help even though it is at no expense to the foster
🐾I can't get the dogs shared, maybe 10-12 shares on a good day
🐾I haven't had interest or an adoption in almost 2 yrs
🐾All the dogs are sponsored, trial adoptions and they will go through training. Also, all completely vetted, well socialized and exercised
🐾I as one person and limited space can only take on so many dogs with zero help. No hope for homes right now, which means they could stay with me forever
🐾People getting angry that they just can't drop their responsibilities off and move on, I don't have unlimited space, volunteers or money to handle the overwhelming need
🐾So please understand everyone wants help, but nobody wants to help my small, little, rural rescue. Rescues can't keep functioning like that. I need community help, without it I can't survive. No rescue can.
🐾If this continues and the last 2 yrs have already been a struggle, I have been trying to hold on, but I will not make it through 2026. I will be forced to shut down.
In the meantime please try to be a little nicer to your local rescues, We are doing the best we can with no resources, help and lack of funds.
I know most would love to help, but things have been tough for everyone. If the only thing you can do right now is share the pups that would be amazing! Or maybe offer to give a dog a break for a weekend or a day. There are all kinds of ways to help your local rescues.
