A big weekend for PGD dogs

SHR Ace (Minnie X Puck) earned 2 seasoned passes at Illinois River HRC with his owner Cory Kodat.

Ripp (Crush X Roux) earned 2 started passes at Eastern Shore Retriever Club NAHRA event with his owner Allen Welch.

Ace (Puck x Minnie) spent last year with us before going home to hunt with his owner Cory. Since then Cory has gotten involved with furthering Ace’s training and learning to handle Ace on his own. Last weekend Cory got his feet wet in hunt tests and finished up Ace’s Started title at Kankakee River HRC! We are excited for them and know that they’ll keep adding titles to Ace’s name!

We made the trip down to Little Rock, Arkansas this past weekend, it was a great trip seeing a new test and meeting new people and seeing some friends. With the HRC Spring Grand looming we went with some questions and came home with some answers.

Crush did what he does and came away with 2 passes and 30 more points to his resume. He bobbled in his first series and continued to look stronger each series after.

Zara ran 3 very nice series but some unfortunate miscommunication cost her a pass. Overall not a bad weekend for her.

KANKAKEE RIVER HRC UPLAND

We went to Central Illinois and ran a quad upland at Green Acres Sportsman’s Club held by Kankakee River HRC, we survived the cold and headed south with 8 passes and two new titles. 4 flawless runs by both Zara & Crush. Thank you to club members, Green Acres Staff, Paige -Zara’s owner & my wife, Brittany for holding the fort down.

GRHRCH UHCH Crush X HRCH Minnie

I have one male and one female deposit available for this litter. Expected due date is 4/20.. pups all black, clear dna & 26 month OFA guarantee.

Both are my personal dogs & both are phenomenal hunt test and hunting dogs. Easy to run very compliant animals with good heads on their shoulders. Crush will be campaigning for his HRC HOF and Minnie will likely join us at St. Louis this fall. Crush has a 4th placement in a Qual, we will continue playing that game as well. These pups should be capable of any game. Other pro trainers with his puppies have told me they are very biddable and very birdy. Ask your ole lady before you call me.

Competition homes are preferred but not required.

Boyfriend calls are rolling in, get him before it’s HRC Grand time!

Our plans for this year are UHCH, MH & a couple more Grand passes if all goes right. Crush will dabble in more Quals also.

He is extremely consistent, one of his best qualities. Crush is 37/39 in weekend tests 95% pass rate, both fails being my decision, he did something I didn’t like in both.

At the Grand he is 2/3, 2/2 with me. Crush will turn 4 the end of next month. I’ve heard nothing but good reports on his pups in training so far, very biddable pups!
