2023 Bay Filly
"Betty Jo" is a gorgeous filly by Two Id Hombre and out of SM Sister Sledge. She is double bred Two Id Bartender and Doc Bar, a cow/rope cross that has worked really well in our program.
Her sire, Two Id Hombre, was Top 10 in the L2 Heading and placed 4th in the HPI Heeling. We have a yearling filly by Hombre that is absolutely gorgeous and we think this filly will turn out the exact same way. Hombre is by Two Id Sweet Jack, AQHA Performance Champion with 330.5 AQHA points and Superiors in Heading, Heeling, and Calf Roping. Two Id Bartender was an AQHA World Champion and Superhorse contender. Hombre is out of a daughter of Genuine Hombre, who had over 500 AQHA points and was an AQHA Performance Champion with 6 Superiors in Calf Roping, Heading, Heeling, Reining, and Working Cowhorse. Genuine Hombre was the 1997 AQHA Junior All-Around Champion and an AQHA Reserve World Champion in Jr Calf Roping.
SM Sister Sledge was a handy horse on the farm and my personal riding horse. We raised Sister. My parents bought her sire, Two Id Hat, from Pitzer ranch as a weanling. Two Id Hat had a Superior in Heeling and was shown by my mother in Am Reining. He was a 2x World Show Qualifier. Her maternal grandsire, Docs Bay, was a NCHA money earning and producing son of Doc Wilson, the NCHA Hall of Fame son of Doc Bar. Penny In My Hat, another Hat/Docs Bay mare we raised, was Circuit Champion at Tulsa this year in the Am Calf Roping. Several of Sister's full siblings have made awesome rope horses, including my high school breakaway mare.
This has been an amazing family for us and we cannot say enough good things about them. Betty Jo should make a really nice horse with a great mind and a lot of cow sense. She has a stacked pedigree of performance horses top and bottom. Located in Southern Illinois.
