Collin County Animal Services shelters all lost/stray pets from Frisco and McKinney. Each of these cities provide their own animal control services. Please contact them directly for animal control service information and requests. Collin County Animal Services performs all animal control duties as well as sheltering all lost/stray pets from all unincorporated areas of Collin County, and the cities of Anna, Celina, Fairview, Farmersville, Lavon, Lucas, Melissa, Nevada, Princeton, Prosper and Weston. All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccinations! Adoption Fees:
Puppies/Kittens 6 months and under = $50
Dogs/Cats over 6 months = $25

🐾 DOGGY DAY OUT WITH CHICO! 🐾

Chico got a little break from shelter life, and boy, did he enjoy himself! 💙
This handsome 6 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mix spent the day cruising around in the car, taking a nice neighborhood walk, and enjoying some much needed relaxation in a real home!
His Doggy Day Out buddy described him as calm, relaxed, friendly, social, and curious, with a playful, energetic side too! Chico was a wonderful car passenger and seemed happy just being along for the ride.
But Chico's favorite parts of the day? A delicious frozen banana and peanut butter treat and a nice, long nap in the air conditioning!

Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most to a shelter dog. A comfy place to sleep, a special treat, and someone to spend the day with. Chico got a little taste of what having a home could feel like, and now we're hoping someone will make that his everyday life. ❤️

🐱 DID YOU KNOW?

Cats are crepuscular! 🌅🌙

Fancy word, right? 😂 It simply means cats are naturally most active at dawn and dusk!

So if your kitty gets a sudden case of the ZOOMIES first thing in the morning or right when you're trying to relax for the evening… they're not being crazy, they're just following their natural instincts! 🐈💨

Basically, your cat runs on their own schedule, and you're just living in their house! 😂❤️

Speaking of little bundles of energy, we have plenty of adorable kitties waiting for their forever homes at Collin County Animal Services! 🐾

🐾❤️ Happily Ever After, Freddy Kruger! ❤️🐾

Freddy Kruger may have a spooky name, but there is nothing scary about this sweet boy! And we're happy to report that his new family decided to keep his name!

Freddy is settling into his forever home and slowly letting his personality shine. He's discovered that the couch is a pretty great place to be, along with his cozy spot under the kitchen table. But his favorite place? Wherever his humans are! He follows them from room to room, making sure he doesn't miss a single opportunity for some pets and scratches.

He's doing great with his new Great Dane sibling, although he's still learning how to dodge that big, happy tail! He even attended a Trunk or Treat event, where he soaked up all the love and attention.

His family has also discovered that Freddy has expensive taste! Forget regular dog treats. This fancy boy prefers smoked cheddar cheese and grilled hot dogs!

His family says he's the perfect fit for their home. He's calm, loves lounging around, and is happiest just being close to the people he loves.

From a shelter dog waiting for someone to choose him to a spoiled boy who never has to wonder where he belongs again. ❤️

🐾 Doggy Day Out with Casper! 🐾

Casper is a 1-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix who had another fantastic Doggie Day Out! This handsome boy spent his day exploring the park, walking through neighborhoods, and strolling around downtown McKinney and The Colony!

His Doggie Day Out buddy described him as confident, curious, calm, relaxed, and full of personality! Casper absolutely LOVES car rides and gets so excited when he knows an adventure is coming. He was friendly with everyone he met, curious about the other dogs he saw, and especially loved all the pets and attention he got from kids! ❤️

Casper is a playful, social boy who loves exploring new places, but he's just as happy soaking up attention from his people.

It's hard to believe this sweet boy is still waiting for a family of his own. He has so much love to give and so many adventures ahead of him. He just needs someone to share them with!

🐾 HAPPILY EVER AFTER – INCUBUS, NOW KYLO! 🐾

Incubus has a new name, a new family, and a whole lot of love!
Now known as Kylo, this sweet boy is absolutely thriving in his forever home.
His family says he's incredibly smart, has already learned some new tricks, and is doing great with leash training. He's even had a few introductions to the family cats while safely in his crate and hasn't shown any reaction to them!

Kylo has also gained some much-needed weight and is filling out nicely. Best of all, his family describes him as a big, affectionate goofball who keeps them smiling!

His family shared something that means the world to us: "Thank you for saving him. We will be forever grateful for all your organization does."

Stories like Kylo's are why we do what we do. Seeing a dog who once needed a second chance now healthy, happy, and so incredibly loved makes every difficult day worth it.

8 years young, the BIGGEST smile, and a wiggly butt that just won't quit! 😍

Meet Titan, our sweet 8-year-old Pittie mix who has plenty of love left to give and is hoping someone will give him a chance!

Titan is one of those dogs who can brighten your day with just one look. He's got the goofiest grin, a sweet personality, and he even knows SIT! He's still got plenty of pep in his step, but what he'd really love is a comfy place to call home and someone to share his golden years with. ❤️

At 8 years old, Titan shouldn't have to wonder if someone will ever choose him. He deserves belly rubs, a soft bed, and a family who loves him just as much as he'll love them.

His face says happy, but his heart is still waiting for home. 🥹❤️

Please don't overlook this sweet boy because of his age. The best years of his life could be the ones he spends with YOU!

Kit Kat thought she had found her happily ever after when she was adopted, but unfortunately, things didn't work out with the resident cat, and she found herself back at the shelter. 💔

Now this sweet girl is hoping for a second chance! Kit Kat is friendly, playful, LOVES attention, and has so much love to give. She may do best as the only kitty in the home, where she can soak up all the affection for herself! 🥰

Kit Kat already knows what it's like to be chosen… and then have to start all over again. Let's make sure her next home is FOREVER. ❤️

🐾❤️ HAPPILY EVER AFTER: GRANITE (NOW RYE)! ❤️🐾

For 70 days, he watched people come and go, hoping that one day it would be his turn. And then, finally, his people walked through the doors. 🥹❤️

Today, Granite is known as Rye, and we couldn't be happier to share that he is absolutely THRIVING in his forever home!

His family says he's settling in wonderfully! He spends his days exploring his very own backyard, lounging on the big, plush bed he personally picked out at PetSmart 😂, and having playdates with his new friend, Sami. 🐶💕

But the best part of their update?

"He is safe, happy, and thoroughly spoiled." ❤️

Those are the words our staff and volunteers waited 70 days to hear.

Rye, you were loved every single day you spent with us, but nothing compares to knowing you finally have a family to call your own.
