Just a tiny glimpse into why I love dogs 💕

Maple is part of the team at MSU’s Pollinator Performance Center doing critical pollinator research and education. A retired police K-9, she uses her super sense of smell to detect bacteria in bee colonies to help prevent disease from spreading.

Currently, beekeepers must manually inspect colonies for disease, but dogs like Maple can identify disease much faster, which could make a big impact on the industry.

This project is one of many occurring at the Pollinator Performance Center. Operating since 2021, the center allows MSU to be at the forefront of honeybee and other pollinator research.

I'm always amazed at how many dogs hate the dryer... Makes no sense. I feel like if they love hanging their head out of the car window blasting down the highway at 80+ mph, that the dryer here wouldn't bother them but it does. For most dogs tucking a bit of cotton in the ears fixes that problem, others? Not so much. So out comes the Happy Hoodie. Here is our mascot Fenrir sporting one. Despite the fact he gets groomed regularly, like alot of dogs he has NEVER overcome his fear of the dryer and cotton just doesn't work for him. So for his comfort Happy Hoodie it is! ❤

But I still get the stink eye! 😂
