Massena Humane Society The Massena Humane Society is a private animal shelter in upstate New York. We have a 100% adoption rate with adoptable animals.

Our facility is open to visitors by appointment only, Monday - Saturday from 1 to 5 pm to adopt animals and admit incoming strays. We contract with the towns of Louisville, Norfolk, Massena, Dickinson, and Brandon to provide sheltering services for their homeless/stray animals. Local residents are encouraged to contact us with any litters of puppies or kittens. If space is available we would prefe

r to admit them to ensure they are spayed or neutered before being placed in their new home. Our adoptable animals are posted on our website at Massena.petfinder.com. Adoption fees include spay/neuter and age appropriate vaccinations before being adopted. The Massena Humane Society is proud to offer a low income spay/neuter clinic for residents in our community. We wish to assist responsible pet owners on a limited budget. Please pick up an application from our lobby, provide proof of income, and get your pet scheduled for an appointment. Please be aware: For the protection of our animals, our facility and grounds are under video surveillance.

Meet George, an energetic and adventurous dog who is always ready for his next outdoor excursion. With his boundless enthusiasm, friendly personality, and love of exploring, George would make an excellent hiking buddy for an active individual or family. He thrives on exercise, enjoys discovering new trails, and is happiest when he has plenty of opportunities to stretch his legs and take in the sights and smells of nature. After a day of adventure, George is just as happy to relax by your side and soak up some affection. NEWEST AND LAST UPDATE: For anyone still following our washer saga unfold: We have picked up a donated washer and dryer to help us get caught up on laundry! Thank you so much to the amazing neighbors of ours down the road!! We truly cannot thank everyone enough who helped us out today. 💕

UPDATED UPDATE: Kali's washer won't spin for us so our washing machine situation isn't over yet. Would anyone else have a washing machine in good shape to donate or sell inexpensively??😬

UPDATE: Kali called up and offered her extra washer. It is already being hooked up. Thank you so much Kali!! 💕💕 We appreciate the help loading it too. You guys are awesome! We are always impressed by the support in our community. ❤️

Help! 😬😬 We are in need of washing machine asap. Our washer just died, ughhhh ~ who can blame it as we do about 8 loads of laundry a day! Meet the snack pack you didn’t know you needed: Snickers, Twix, JujuB, and Rodney — four tiny agents of chaos wrapped in fur. Snickers is the ringleader, always first to investigate suspicious noises, open cabinets, or sprint directly across your face at 3 a.m. Twix is smooth and charming, winning hearts with big eyes before immediately stealing your seat. JujuB is pure wiggles and nonsense, powered entirely by zoomies and bad decisions. And then there’s Rodney — the oddly serious one who watches the others like a tired middle manager wondering how this became his life. Together, they’re equal parts cuddles, comedy, and complete household destruction. Adopt them if you enjoy laughter, tiny toe beans, and never being alone in the bathroom again. They are set to be neutered this Saturday and can leave on Tuesday, the 19th. Applications can be submitted now, in person or by phone 315-764-1330.
