🐱 Maddie’s Meow of the Week 🐱

Each week, our volunteer Maddie conducts important feline field research and shares her professional observations with the public.

📋 This Week’s Cat: AMOS

From his official bio:

Amos is a handsome older kitten (about 6 months old) with quite a story. A Good Samaritan witnessed him being thrown from a vehicle and stopped to help. When she opened her car door, Amos simply hopped in and curled up in her lap. If that experience didn't shake his faith in people, we're not sure much will.

💬 Maddie’s take:

"Amos is a young gentleman with a whole lifetime of love left to give. He is SO soft. Like, suspiciously soft. His tail is incredibly long, and he wags it like a dog whenever he's happy. He firmly believes that whatever you're doing is actually a team activity and would be thrilled to assist with all non-cat-related tasks. He's also a shoe enthusiast. Why? We may never know. Taking photos of him is nearly impossible because he spends the entire time rubbing on your hands and demanding affection."

Amos has every reason to be wary of people, but instead he's chosen to trust, love, and make friends with everyone he meets. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate kitten who wants to be involved in every part of your day, Amos may be your perfect match. ❤️

After several intense rounds, dozens of disputed calls, and one very brave ball on a string, we’re still waiting for the official results.

⏰ LAST CALL FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN ADOPTION SPECIAL! ⏰

Tomorrow is the final day to take advantage of our Classic Names adoption special!

We've spent the last few weeks introducing you to a cast of characters whose names sound like they belong at a bingo hall, church potluck, or early bird dinner special. Some have found homes, but plenty are still waiting.

Birdie keeps reminding us that gas used to cost a nickel.

Seymour would like everyone to know that despite being named like someone's grandfather, he is actually a 5-month-old puppy.

And Fred would like to speak to the manager.

In observance of Juneteenth, ICACS will be closed on Friday, June 19.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration of freedom.

We will reopen with normal business hours on Saturday, June 20.

🍊 Meet McBaggy Rogers 🍊

Some dogs pose politely for photos.

McBaggy Rogers said, "What if I launched myself through the air while carrying a toy the size of my head?"

This two-year-old pit bull is a full-time entertainer, professional zoomie enthusiast, and part-time orange impersonator.

When he's not showing off his impressive athletic abilities, he's looking for an active family that can keep up with his adventurous spirit. McBaggy enjoys other dogs who appreciate a rough-and-rowdy wrestling match and would do best with older children who can handle his enthusiasm for life.

If your idea of fun includes fetch, playtime, outdoor adventures, and laughing every single day, McBaggy Rogers may be your perfect match.

At just 5 months old, Seymour has already overcome more than most dogs ever will.

Found as a stray with a severely injured leg, likely after being hit by a car, Seymour recently underwent an amputation. But if you ask him, life is still pretty wonderful.

He spends his days doing all the things puppies are supposed to do: playing, exploring, seeking attention, and making friends wherever he goes. He may have lost a leg, but he certainly hasn’t lost his spirit.

Now that he’s recovering beautifully, Seymour is ready for the next chapter of his story: finding a family of his own.

Seymour is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and available for adoption.

Come meet this incredible little guy. We have a feeling you’ll fall in love. ❤️

This week's featured adoptable pet comes to us from our friends at Happy Feet Pet Rescue!
