☕🐾 Pup Cup Break! 🐾☕

This week’s Pup Cup VIP was Haku—a cheerful little beagle mix with a nose for fun and a tail that never quits wagging. 🐶💛

He swung by Biggby Coffee 517 for a drive-thru treat and charmed everyone from the car window—ears perked, eyes sparkling, and nose working overtime to sniff out every last drop of whipped cream. With his upbeat energy and friendly face, Haku made sure the baristas fell just as in love with him as we are.

Haku’s had a bit of a rough patch lately, coming to us with a nasty skin infection. But with some TLC (and a few pup cups), he’s healing up and looking for a home that’ll keep the good vibes—and vet care—going strong.

🎉 Huge thanks to Biggby Coffee for treating our shelter pups to something special! Haku soaked up the love (and the whipped cream) and is ready to keep the adventures going with a forever family by his side.

💃 From Mange to Zoomies! 🐾

Remember this sweet brindle pup who came in with severe mange and a secondary skin infection?

It turns out she has Demodectic mange, a condition caused by an overgrowth of natural skin mites. Good news:
👉 It’s NOT contagious to people or other pets!
👉 It’s treatable with proper care!

Puppies like her are extra vulnerable because their immune systems are still developing. When their body can’t keep the mites in balance, it can lead to hair loss, redness, and itchy skin. Left untreated, it can even cause painful secondary infections—like the one this little girl was battling when she arrived.

Thanks to fast medical care, good nutrition, and lots of love, she’s already showing us her silly, zoomie-loving self! 🐕‍🦺💨 She still has a little ways to go, but she’s a shining example of what a little time, care, and kindness can do.

This sweet little pibble has been through so much — from surviving a serious attack to bravely beginning her road to recovery. Thanks to our friends at Bark Nation, Mari got the emergency care she needed and a second chance at life. 💕

Now, she's officially part of our shelter family — and she's looking for her forever home. Despite everything, Mari is still full of love: she adores people, enjoys gentle dog friends, and dreams of nothing more than snuggling on a cozy couch. 🛋️

We're taking care of her heartworm treatment — all she needs now is a family to heal with.

🌟 Tandi: One Month Later 🌟

From fragile and forgotten… to full of life and love. 💛

It’s been a month since Tandi arrived—terribly thin, unsure, and clinging to hope. Today, this gentle giant is 20+ pounds heavier, curled up in cozy beds instead of shivering in the cold, and thriving in a foster home that adores her.

Here’s what her foster had to say after nearly 3 weeks together:

“Tandi continues to be an amazing foster that can never get enough love. She’s completely potty trained, great on a leash, and totally smitten with our dog Sergei—no small feat! Her favorite thing is mealtime (obviously), and I can't wait for her perfect person to sweep her off her feet and treat her like the queen she is.”

👑 Tandi isn’t quite ready for adoption yet—our medical team would still like her to gain a bit more weight before her spay—but she’s well on her way.
