I began Smitten Pet Sitten because of the needs of my older Greyhound Zippo who has since passed away. She did not do well being kenneled, she would not eat well and always behaved poorly after coming home from a kennel. I wanted to be able to provide her and other pets the ability to be comfortable and stay in their own home environments while still receiving the attention we normally would give
them. So I began going to homes of those families that wanted the same thing as I did and the rest is history! IN HOME PET SITTING no longer available, we still do dog training. certified dog trainer on staff. I began training when I owned my own dog as a youth and loved all the things that come with having fun with my dogs then. So in 1992-1993, while stationed on the U.S. Navy Base in Pearl City, HI. I was trained by a professional dog trainer in the art of using the dogs instinctual behaviors to motivate them to be our domesticated pets. We only do positive motivation training and do not condone any aggressive or harmful training of dogs and will not tolerate any kicking, hitting, or harmful handling of the dogs. I have owned several pure breed and mixed breeds in my life time and understand what it means to want a dog in our home for not only to be our companionship, security but many for many of us, to have them become a member of our family. I train your dog to be a happy, healthy and appropriate member of your family or I can get you ready for advance training and competitions. TRAINING CLASSES:
BASIC PRIVATE OBEDIENCE: This consists of train the dog in the following behaviors: Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, Watch/Look, and Down. We also address problem behaviors at that time. Cost $40.00 a session or 6 sessions for $180.00. ADVANCED PRIVATE OBEDIENCE: This sessions where we continue the basic training and are getting prepared for more advanced techniques that can be utilized for our own personal needs or for specific Obedience/Show competitions. This training consists of the following behaviors: staying for long periods of time, place & finish, heeling off leash, problem behaviors and so much more. Cost $50.00 session or 6 sessions for $250.00
SPECIALIZED TRAINING'S: These are set up based on a specific group or organizations needs and can be specific to one or more particular breed or group issues or problems. I do offer charity/donation training's to special organizations & individuals like the New Nodaway Humane Society and Northwest Advocates for Animal Awareness.
