✨ Benny Bug is here to remind us that sometimes dreams really do come true! ✨

Benny came to the shelter sweet as can be but terrified. Having spent his whole life in a backyard in the country, everything was new and overwhelming. But he was too curious to stay scared for long and quickly learned that people = treats and leashes = adventures!

Benny was chosen for a lifesaving transport with Shelter Dog Transport Alliance to go to Toronto Humane Society, where he was quickly adopted by his wonderful new family!

Now his parents are sharing his brave new adventures on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/bennyisbrave?obrf=MWR4N2FvMDFpYjRqNQ==)

We are SO proud of you, Benny Bug! 🥹 We hope your story inspires others to take a chance on a shy shelter dog. Sometimes all they need is a little patience and love to show you just how amazing they can be!

We need cat carriers!

Have you recently borrowed a carrier from us to transport a cat home? We are critically low on cat-sized carriers for our spay & neuter program and we need them back as soon as possible.

Do you have an unused plastic (hard-sided) cat carrier at home that you are not using? We would love to put that carrier to good use through our spay & neuter program!

See a good quality carrier at the thrift store or for sale online? Think of us! We would love donations of carriers in good condition.

You can drop carriers off anytime, day or night, even if we are closed. Just leave them in the grey bin by the gate and we will get those inside as soon as we are back on site.

Thank you for supporting your local animal shelter!

Five Barn Kitties! Still Available.

These cats are young and still have potential for being socialized. They could be released in your barn to hunt rodents, or brought inside for TLC to help them learn to trust humans.

They are already improving in their short time with us, and would make excellent indoor or outdoor pets.

Come meet Hearts, Spades, Joker, Wren & Warbler. These cats are all spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and parasite free! Adoption fees are waived 💗

Jethro was one lucky pup on Tuesday when he got to go on his first “Doggy Day Out”!! He won over some hearts with his sweet cuddly personality and also showed off his chill side when he met some other rambuctious pups - way to go Jethro! You can meet Jethro and his sister RCA (also up for adoption) this Friday or Saturday at our adoption center!

These four strays all came in yesterday (Tuesday 10/13) - please share with your neighbors and let us know if you recognize any of there pups so we can get them home!!
