Meet Bark Twain. 🩷 This very good boy was found as a stray and never claimed, which is surprising because he has the best manners and seems to have been treated well by his previous owners.

Mr. Twain is a perfect doggy-dog. Car rides? Loves em. Long walks? Lets go. Meeting new people and dogs? Sure, if they want to meet him, he's a friendly guy. Leash walking? Other than some random zoomies, he'll match your speed.

Highly intelligent... cute as a button... eager to please... and loves to snuggle. What more could you want in a best friend?

Anybody looking for a traveling companion? I'm not looking for big adventures, more cruising and sightseeing! Don't let those long ears fool you I'm not interested in running around tracking down things, unless it's friends or treats😉
I'm not really into being a solo traveler but I don't want someone clinging to me either, just someone to hang with and drive. I don't have a driver's license so my preferred traveler will do the driving. I'm a pretty chill guy. Folks have said that I'm handsome, I am not really worried about looks so much though.
I'm crashing at Madison County Animal Services - NC for now if you want to come hang out. Just ask for Hot Cheeto, that's what they call me 😅

We love receiving post-adoption updates and seeing our former shelter animals thriving in their new homes! This week we're celebrating Apple Bloom, who came to us with nine other dogs after her owner became overwhelmed with too many animals and needed to move.

Here's what her adopter had to say: "It’s almost been a year since I adopted Apple Bloom. We call her Abbie now. We love her so much and is the sweetest companion. She has brought us so much joy and love. She has settled in nicely and hasn’t missed out on any treats 🙂 thanks again!"

Urgent Foster plea!

Last night, someone found three mama cats and 10 kittens in a plastic bin on the side of the road near Redmond Dam. These poor souls are healthy but terrified.

At this time, we are over capacity at the shelter, and need local folks to open their homes to these babies while we work on getting them vaccinated, ​spayed/neutered, and placed in adoptive homes.

***If you are able to help financially, we are in desperate need of kitty litter! Nonclumping OR pine pellets (sold at tractor supply).***

Hi, Everyone!!! My name is Sandy Bottom. I am the last of my family, still waiting at the shelter for my humans to find me ✨️

I came to the shelter as a tiny baby with my mama and 3 siblings. One by one, they went off on new adventures, and I was left behind.

I have been at the shelter for two months straight, and nobody knows why. I am a cheerful, healthy, playful 4 month old kitten who loves to cuddle and especially loves to play with aaaaall the toys. I am friendly with other cats (I love to wrestle) and have never met a stranger.

I had a shelter break with a foster family for a week, but their resident male cat didnt like me so I had to come back to the shelter.

I cant wait to break out of this place and find a place of my own. Want a mouser? I'm your girl. Need a sweet, head-rubbing cuddler? I love laps. Are you a curious adventurer? I am a brave explorer! Come see me and I promise to steal your heart ❤️
