-How to handle an emergency (snake bite, broken leg, allergic reaction, hit by car, etc).

- What to do in emergency situations that can help your vet save your pet's life.
And SO MUCH MORE!!!! We'll spend about 5.5 hours together making sure you know exactly what to do, proper hand placement, what not to do, etc.

We are still doing food donations and plan to until we run out! Donations need to be picked up during the week from 9am-4pm. I may be able to meet at off times, but that needs prearranged and isn't guaranteed because I have a lot going on after work. You MUST message me about donations, don't just comment on posts because I won't see them. I'll ask you a few questions to make sure we get you everything you need that we can provide, and we'll get it all together for you. Just please pick it up if you ask for it. We've had some people ask for things, and then we never hear from them again, which may keep other people from getting what they need. We appreciate your understanding and hope we can all work together to help the pets in need in our area!

IF ANYONE HAS NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY, please message me ASAP! We received donations Friday that I'm sorting through now. A lot is going to Damascus this afternoon, but we want to meet local needs also if we can! Some of what we received is for humans, too, but I know Wells Fargo was really helping people, and I'm not sure what's needed.

Another way to help animals!

The NEED directory provides access to help with evacuation, emergency stabling, and emergency hay services for equine victims of natural disasters. A free service of Fleet of Angels. FOA is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves at-risk equines. ASPCA Equine Welfare Award recipient.

Thanks to some very recent donations, we have so much to offer your cats! If we've told you we were out of cat litter and cat food, we now have supply!

Dry Dog food is going out almost as soon as it's coming in, but we do have some. WE ARE NOT GIVING OUT LARGE QUANTITIES! I know we've upset people who saw a post about 50 pound bags and wanted several of those, but we're trying to help as many pets as we can, so large bags are being broken in half. The idea with this drive was to help pets in immediate need, not to supply people long term. As supplies come in, we're helping as much as we can, but we're relying fully on donations and asking people to only take what they need right now, and then to check back with us. We'll do all that we can help as many as we can!!

As always, thank you so much to those that have donated! We're getting supplies from all over VA, and I'm talking to someone in PA right now! My Appalachian heart is so thankful to the many generous pet lovers out there!

I just heard from the pilot! They're landing at Mt Empire around 2:45 if anyone is free and wants to help load into my vehicle and unload at Rufflections! Several people offered this morning, but there was a delay due to their weather.
